Scuba Travel are committed to marine conservation , we feel this is essential to protect the environment so that it can be enjoyed by future generations. The Project AWARE Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving underwater environments through education, advocacy and action. Project AWARE combats challenges facing aquatic resources in 175 countries and territories with direct support from divers and water enthusiasts worldwide.
How can you protect the marine environment ?
As divers and water enthusiasts we are privileged to have access to unique underwater environments. In fact, due to our up close and personal relationship with the underwater world, divers and snorkelers are often the first to recognize habitat decline and contribute to solutions. Be aware of every action when entering the marine environment and take every precaution to avoid any negative impact. In addition, be an ambassador for the protection of our aquatic world and gently remind others to do the same when necessary.

Tips for underwater photographers
Improve your underwater photography techniques and protect the environment at the same time. Regardless of skill level, Project AWARE Foundation’s Ten Tips for Underwater Photographers are a valuable asset for everyone. Underwater photos can describe the beauty and diversity of our underwater environments as well as highlight the urgent need for conservation. However, there are a number of points to consider before attempting any photography in a fragile environment. Be sure to protect underwater environments before, during and after every dive.
