Cyclone has long been a favourite with UK divers for exporing the magnificent wrecks and lavish reefs of the Egyptian Red Sea. Winning "Liveaboard of the Year" in 2003, Cyclone has undergone several upgrades over the years, keeping her up to the same exceptional standards as the rest of the fleet. Designed by divers and expertly crewed, Cyclone retains a welcoming atmosphere and it this that draws divers back to her year after year for their hard earned Red Sea holiday.

Cyclone is 32m from bow to stern and her sturdy wood hull is a stable home away from home. 20 divers can be easily accommodated over 10 twin cabins. For your complete comfort, all of the cabins are en suite, have individual air con and plenty of space to stow your belongings for the week. There are 2 twin cabins on the main deck, 6 twin cabins below decks and 2 bow cabins which have bunks. All cabins are pre-allocated at the time of booking.

Cyclone features the tried and tested lay out of all Tornado Marine Fleet vessels. The all important dive deck is spaciously laid out so everyone can kit up without fighting for space. Head to the main deck dining room at meal times and an outstanding feast awaits. The upstairs saloon is complete with bar and plasma screen is a focal point at the end of the day or during surface intervals. Or escape from it all on extensive sun deck, complete with sun beds and jacuzzi. Cyclone is a true Red Sea classic liveaboard that easily meets the high standards of Scuba Travel's modern Red Sea liveaboards.

Perfect dive boat food, very well presented and delivered at exactly the right times to fit with the diving schedule. Fried fish was a particular specialty. Birthday cake for my daughter was a lovely surprise. Hywel John

The crew were diligent, extremely helpful courteous at all times and welcoming. I felt the students were in very capable hands with experienced and well qualified guides who also went to great trouble to ensure each and every student had a great time. Helena

Cannot speak more highly of this crew. I've been on a few liveaboards before and can say that this crew were the most helpful and fun and friendly crew of them all. Guides were both very good and professional at all times. Briefings were exceptional and very helpful to have the presentation sent to us so can look back at the detail of the dives and the history. Susie

Apart from the diving the crew made the trip for me, always smiling and having fun, often mischievous but of course always working hard, I never really had to ask for any assistance they were always there before I needed to. Briefings were excellent especially Yasser's non speaking one! Neil

08 August 2014

Well equipped large boat with spacious and comfortable cabins. Lots of different areas to relax in, which are well maintained by the crew. Well organised dive deck. Anil & Jess

09 June 2014

Seeing the turtle eating the coral and swimming with the dolphins were definitely the best moment for me! I can't count the number of times I said WOW under the water when I saw so many beautiful things. Pity no one could hear me!!! ; P Emma-Louise

09 June 2014

Highlights for me were the snap snorkeling with dolphins at a moment’s notice, the impromptu party on last night at sea, and the dives on to the Thistlegorm. All truly unique! Damien

14 January 2014

The boat was great, a very well laid out dive deck, clean cabins with as much space as can be expected, no shortage of areas in and out of the sun to read/sleep/relax between dives, a very sociable dining area, tea and coffee making facilities and a massive TV and sound system. Everything was in great condition and very clean and tidy. Tessa

14 January 2014

For me the highlight of the trip has been all three of the Thistlegorm dives. Having the chance to explore such an historic and well preserved wreck really was amazing and by far one of the best diving experiences i have ever had. Ryan

14 January 2014

Probably the best part of this trip for William and I have been the crew and guides. They have really taken William under their wing to the extent that he has all his meals with them. Which are delicious, by the way? The diving is pretty good too. Joe & William

14 January 2014

Get out here guys, it's phenomenal – Egypt has a problem, sadly, but it is all concentrated 300 miles away, not around Sharm so don't be put off – and Jacques Cousteau always said the Red Sea was the best dive site in the world and he should know, having dived pretty much everywhere – he was right in my view. And Scubatravel's Cyclone is the standard all other liveaboards have to measure up to. Jane

14 January 2014

Dive guides are brilliant. Knowledgeable, attentive. If you're a beginner they will look after you and make sure you dive safely. Cyclone crew are excellent, friendly and look after you. Well done Scuba travel. Dean

26 December 2013

My wife and I spent a week on the Cyclone diving the Best of Reefs and Wrecks Itinerary. We have spent a great deal of time on liveaboard dive boats and I have to say this one ranks as one of the best LOB experiences we have ever had. Everything was spot on and I can't think of a single problem during out entire trip...perhaps the water temperature could have been warmer, but I understand this might be beyond the crew's sphere of influence :) Regardless, we had an excellent time and you can bet we will be back. I think the next time we will give the southern itinerary a go. Great trip, great crew, and great people to dive with. Thanks very much! Dean Kokonas

16 December 2013

Food was spectacular and we looked forward to meal time every day :) really good quality and presented in a beautiful manner! Salma & steven

16 December 2013

Their professional dedication is unquestionable. All the guys are the friendliest people I've met, are great fun, and bend over backwards to help when something is asked of them, no complaints or dis-gruntled looks, just tonnes of effort and. That applies to all. With respect to the guides, they're just great. Their knowledge of the reefs, the flora, fauna, and the wrecks and their history is spot on for their target audience, delivered in the right way and gives us what we need to enjoy the dive in context. Thanks to everyone, for all their help and support. Paul M
