Cyclone has long been a favourite with UK divers. She was the first real luxury liveaboard operated by Tornado Marine and voted "Liveaboard of the Year" in 2003. Cyclone was completely rebuilt at the end of 2007 bringing her up to the same exceptional standards as the rest of the fleet. Whilst she has retained her revolutionary sleek lines and distinctive appearance from the outside, regular guests would be hard pressed to recognise anything once onboard

In line with the rest of the fleet, she now boasts an upstairs saloon complete with bar and plasma screen, a refitted restaurant with individual dining chairs and an extensive sun deck complete with sun beds and jacuzzi. Work was not confined just to the interior layout. She has been fitted with new more powerful engines, giving her better cruising speed and comfort, and new generators. Her hull length has been increased to an impressive 34 metres and she now sleeps 20 people in 10 twin en suite cabins with air con.

Cyclone ranges the entire northern Red Sea on both Wrecks and Reefs and Get Wrecked itineraries. Departures are from Sharm for either of these itineraries. This is a true Red Sea classic liveaboard that meets the high standards of tomorrow.

Thoroughly enjoyable - made better by the presence of Mike Ward and his photography information. Anon

We had 2 Very Good Guides, who cared. The boat was kept clean at all times. The cook was the best so far encountered. This is my 8th liveaboard. 6th with Tornado Fleet. Overall best liveaboard week. Keep it up, well done. Anon

I recently returned from the Red Sea where we spent a fantastic week on Cyclone (28th June - 5th July). This is the fourth liveaboard we have done and the second time that we have traveled courtesy of Scuba Travel and we were as impressed this time as we were the first with the organisation, attention to detail and all round good value for money. We will certainly be using yourselves again the next time we book on a diving holiday. Please accept my thanks on behalf of 'my crowd'. Brilliant week, brilliant crew, brilliant guides. Thanks again, Kind regards. Andy

Tristan, Thoroughly enjoyed the Reefs and Wrecks trip. As ever, it was a well managed programme with good accommodation, good food and good diving. The crew were great. Please let management know what a superb job was done by Mike Ward my real reason for joining the trip. At last I can use a camera underwater with confidence knowing how to set the white balance etc. His manner and general demeanour were excellent. All of us valued his approachability, good humour, thoughtful (and occasionally, thought provoking) presentations and personal support. I will be looking out for future trips when he will be present. Chris and Chrissy, the dive guides, were probably the best two with whom I have dived over 8 visits to the Red Sea. David

Hi Lee & Everyone at Scuba Travel, We've just returned from what has to be said, was one of the best Red Sea diving holiday's we have ever had! All 20 people in our group have been to Sharm many times, but nothing came close to the week we have just experienced aboard Cyclone. When we arrived the twin sets were already on board - a huge thank you for your help in getting those sorted. The boat was amazing, the dive guides were fantastic, the food was delicious and the deck hands couldn't do enough for you. We had incredible experiences such as snorkelling with a pod of wild dolphins, and diving with Hammerheads. It was just totally awesome! Everyone has come home buzzing and can't wait to book up for next year. I will not hesitate in recommending you to anyone wanting to book a live a board! Once again - thanks for an amazing trip. Emma

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for making this a holiday to remember in spite of the recent collapse of XL Airline. The speed with which we were given rooms at the Gatwick Hilton, our egyptian visa passes and a dinner thrown in as well was more than enough compensation for the delay of the Viking flight and to cap it all we only missed 1 dive. A BIG WELL DONE to you all. You are a credit to the travel industry - its a pity more operators were not as good as you. I shall certainly be booking another liveaboard with yourselves through my agent - Mike and Jill Atkinson at Club Aqua Sport as they too acted very professionally in that most difficult time. I would also like to point out that the Cyclone was an excellent liveaboard and all the crew, and the guides Susie and Thomas Erbe, were very good and an excellent time was had by all. Thanks once again for a marvelous holiday. Andy
