Egypt Liveaboards

Scuba Travel's Red Sea liveaboards will tick all the boxes for any scuba diver seeking the perfect scuba diving holiday. The simplicity of life on the waves coupled with first rate diving and superior service make our liveaboard holidays a deservedly popular option. From learner divers to hardened tekkies there is a route to suit in the Egyptian Red Sea. Long gone are the days when divers had to make do. Today's liveaboards are designed for the most discerning diver. Generous sized cabins, en suite bathrooms, nitrox, water makers, air con - these are just some of the standards you can expect on each and every one of Scuba Travel's boats. Throw in a jacuzzi for after dive sunsets and your week is certain to be a success, no mater which criteria you judge it by.

Liveaboards depart from Sharm, Hurghada or Marsa Alam, depending on the itinerary and our fleet is continually evolving to keep standards high. The Northern Red Sea itineraries are ideal if you are new to this way of dive travel or if you want to visit the many world class wrecks the region is so famed for. Whirlwind, Hurricane and Cyclone all depart regularly, with further boats joining the schedule when needed. The Deep South is a mixture of elegant pinnacles and delicious hard coral gardens. Sail out to any of the Marine Parks for adrenalin fueled drift diving on staggering drop offs and big fish a plenty. Grand Sea Serpent, Sea Serpent, Contessa Mia and Miss Nouran are the names to look for in the South. The experienced crews and dive guides are the final ingredients in this winning recipe.

The holiday went so smoothly, every detail was organized to perfection and it showed on 24 smiling happy faces at the end of the trip!

The Red Sea is open all year with water temperatures varying from 21-30 degrees. This is a semi tropical region so the summer months are warmer than winter, both in air and water temperatures. The Deep South is most active from April-October and the Northern Red Sea June-October, but consider traveling outside of these months if you particularly enjoy the different sightings you get through the seasons and quieter reefs. The wrecks can be dived year round.

Diving Highlights

The marine life is extemly varied in the Red Sea and the number of endemic corals vast. Many wrecks have formed their own mini artificial reefs and are just as enjoyable to fish lovers as wreck divers.

Scuba Travel Tips

Egyptian Liveaboards are well worth considering if you have dived most of the major sites from land and want to dive more of the region than day boats can reach. Liveaboards are also cracking value with approximately 20+ dives on an average week in the North. Make sure you do a night dive, especially on one of the wrecks! Do take an SMB and reel, especially if you are off to the remote marine park areas. You will need 6 months validity on your passport from your return date.
