Mistral | Red Sea Liveaboard | Egypt Liveaboard

Dear all I would like to say thanks for the impecable service we had on our recent trip with you on Mistral last week. Your staff there working at the offices at Scuba Travel with particular helpful particularly Georgina. On the boat the guides Anna and Achmed were fantastic we could not praise them enough despite the ribbing we gave them. The crew on the boat were most attentive and I could not praise them enough particulary Abdul working in the saloon, as usual the Chef and kitchen staff provided excellant meals considering the limited space they have to work in and the number of divers on board. The skipper although rearly seen he always made sure the boat was on the prime moorings and close at hand on pickups. The boat boys following us on the surface in the zodiacs were brilliant always there where ever we surfaced. When we left on Saturday morning it was with a feeling we were parting from close friends. Outstanding. I had total trust in the guides and there were occasions when I needed encouragement and understanding at 20M! They were attentive, caring and anticipated when I had a little lapse of confidence. I can’t thank them enough. Their instructions were clear, interesting and everything laced with a big smile and great sense of humour. The crew on the boat deck were all, to a man, helpful and attentive. Here again, they anticipated and watched when we needed help. There was always someone there to help. A great team! The rest of the crew – all worked so hard to make this enjoyable. Sue B

We thought the briefings were very good. Have never had a powerpoint presentation for a dive before but as relatively inexperienced divers it was really helpful to have diagrams, maps and photos of the dives that we were about to undertake. All dive plans were repeated as a recap. Both guides were great – very calming and friendly, and attentive to needs both in and out of the water. As a first liveaboard experience; we were very impressed with the boat. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We were happy that the sheets were changed during our trip and the cabin was kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. Tom & Emily

What an amazing team. Everyone complements each other. I have been coming to the red sea for 12 years and I can honestly say they are the best. I felt in very safe hands with the guides and they could not do enough for you. They were professional and fun too. They made sure that we were having a good time and were happy. The guys on the rib were brilliant and the crew were always on hand to help kit up and were there waiting by the ladder to help you onboard. The staff in the lounge area was attentive. Tina Horne

everyone is great!! Guides are informative, and always a great help. The whole crew are very attentive and can always put a smile on your face. I love the music as we get ready of our dives and Khalid is always ready with the post dive refreshments. I LOVE the hot chocolate!! Especially after a night dive. Hayley Connolly

First time on a Tornado Marine Fleet boat. Very good facilities on board. Plenty of room on the dive deck for kitting up. Camera room was great to have as there's nothing worse than trying to set up a camera in a dark room. Sharon Brown & Roddy Hendry

: We've come to expect the highest standard of the Tornado fleet (we've been to Whirlwind last year) and Mistral definitely lived up to the expectations. The double room is a lot nicer than the twin we had last time which makes the trip even nicer. The biggest surprise (in a positive sense) was the WIFI access (we are IT geeks). Vladimir & Anamarija

The food was of the very highest standard and that is from a fussy eater I find it hard to believe that such a high standard of food can be provided from such a limited staff and kitchen. Andy Watson

The boat was beautiful. Spacious, comfortable and interior was lovely. The sun deck had plenty of room and place to spread out without being cramped on top of each other and plenty of room in the saloon. Amazing guides and crew, all of them. Welcoming, hard working, there for your every need no matter how big or small and extremely knowledgeable of the dive sites and where to find the smaller and larger things that I would never have seen by myself. Another fabulous week in Egypt. The ship's company have done everything possible to ensure the entire group have everything they could possibly need and want. Food has been fantastic. The dive guides have been wonderful with knowledge, help and any running repairs! We've come out as a group of 7 and have been well catered for including a birthday cake. Jacqui McCarthy

best service from crew and dive guides I have experienced in Red Sea. Good organisation for all dives, Reda encouraged prompt completion of the logs and ensured that we had all checked our kit and cylinders before the dive briefing and I know that this, in turn, ensured that we were all ready quickly with min hanging around – well done. My Mistral live aboard experience has exceeded all my expectations – it has been a totally fantastic experience and I have made all my dive buddies back in Australia jealous with my Facebook updates. My descriptions have even converted a couple of my non-diving friends and they are planning on taking up diving. Maybe I will bring them back with me some day, I will definitely be back! Judy

Can i just take this opportunity of thanking every one who supported our Red Sea trip last week. I have run around 25 of these trips over the years I can honestly say this was one of the nicest trips personally for me. Yes we had a great boat run by great crew, fantastic food and dive guilds, Stunning diving and marine life but it was the people who came that made it special for me. What a smashing group you all was. I was such a pleasure to be in your company and see you all progress so well with you diving. A massive well done to all those who gained diver grades. We ended up with 17 new diver certs. Finally may I just express publicly my thanks to Steve Elliot, simply one of the best diving professionals I've ever met what a joy it is working with you. The boat was excellent – It was beautifully equipped and able to accommodate all issues that the entire team came up with. It was clean and the evidence we saw first hand of the precautions that they took in ensuring there was no risk of hygene issues was good (a constant worry you read so much about) Nigel

The food from breakfast to dinner was of a very high standard and varied throughout the week. I didn't go hungry at any time and there was plenty of coffee and refreshments to hand following each dive and throughout the day. All in all, first class. Chris

I have to say both the guides, Adel and Reda and the crew were top class. The guides put your mind at rest and very encouraging making you feel safe when you were diving, especially as I suffer with my nerves. They were very knowledgeable and their briefings were detailed. The crew, like the guides, couldn't do enough for you from helping on and off with kit, drinks at the end of each dive, lovely food etc etc. All really friendly and helpful. Thank you all so much for making my first liveaboard so enjoyable. Diane

Fantastic, cannot fault anyone. Guides very professional, experienced and knowledgeable with thorough briefings which were great for first timers in this area. Very very good food. It is hard to believe it was all prepared in a boats kitchen with limited tools and space. When we booked we asked for meat instead of fish but when we tried this fish it was amazing and we had to have both! Martin & Richie

Return visit to the Mistral for me and I enjoyed my week just as much as before - the confidence my first visit inspired in me has been consolidated this week and I feel more able to appreciate everything on a dive. The four dives on Thistlegorm improved my familiarity with the wreck, which is my favourite dive site. The life pointed out by the guides has been phenomenal . Emma Lane
