Monsoon has all the hallmarks of Tornado Marine fleet quality. And this spectacular 36m steel hull motor yacht brings luxury liveaboards to the remote Northern Atolls of the Maldives. Monsoon takes pride of place as the first liveaboard to operate in the northern atolls 80 nautical miles north of male. The crew have hunted out all the best dive sites in this unexplored region of the Maldives including the now famous Hanivaru lagoon.

Monsoon is stable and spacious. The dive deck is vast with more than ample space for all types of divers. Photographers and technical divers can kit up at ease side by side. A Haskel pump delivers custom blend nitrox and trimix blends. Monsoon sleeps 22 guests in twin cabins with en suite, small fridge, safety box and of course air con. After a quick jacuzzi on board and a tasty dinner, the cocktail deck is the place to watch the sun set over the wonderful sea scape of islands and reefs. Monsoon is also one of the few Maldivian liveaboards to use Ribs for total dive flexibility and safety at all times.

Monsoon does not stick to a fixed itinerary, enjoying the best of the Lhaviyani, Raa, Baa and Noonu atolls throughout the year. Over the summer months, Baa atoll is the place to head and witness huge numbers of manta feeding in the plankton filled lagoon of Hanivaru. Other hallowed names such as Fushifaru Kandu or the Kuredu Express are on the itinerary where grey reefs dart through the currents and columns of fish. Monsoon enables you to live the ultimate Maldivian dive adventure knowing you are in expert hands. Shorebased extensions can also be arranged at the end of the trip in case one week just is not enough.

Hi Caroline. I have just returned from my holiday and would like to thank you and the rest of Scuba Travel for the excellent and professional way you have handled my booking. The holiday was amazing, well worth the two and a half years I had to save and pay for it! The dive master, Chris, onboard Monsoon was an outstanding guy. His dedication, passion, professionalism and attention to detail is second to none.He even sang the praises of your company. If the Monsoon were ever to loose his services it would be a big blow. There was only six of us on the trip which was great as it made it nice and relaxed. We even got upgraded to Business Class on the flight from Dubai to Male, a fantastic start to a memorable holiday. I traveled with my son who is now 16 so I do not know if we'll have any more diving holidays together, who knows? However, if I were to look for another diving holiday again, your company will be the first and probably be the last I'll look at. Dave & Matty Craven

Hi All, Just to say thank you very much for your support with regard to the eruption of the volcano in Iceland. We were delighted to be able to stay on the boat, Monsoon, for the duration of the delay. As I have experienced before, you really do look after your clients which always gives confidence to book again in the future. Possibly another holiday later in the year. Thanks again for letting us be stranded in the Maldives under such wonderful conditions; funny, I got no sympathy from Home, can't think why!!! Alan

Hi Georgie, Safe back from our second fabulous dive trip on MV Monsoon cruising the Northern Atolls of the Maldives. The sea surface was calm, the sun shone, the water was blue, clear and shortie warm 28C. Perfect. John

Dear Lee, We have just returned from our liveaboard trip on the Monsoon in the Maldives. I am writing to express how pleased we both were at the facilities provided onboard. The crew were helpful, friendly and courteous. The dive guides, Chris Trickey and Petra Bergler were very professional in their approach and made all on board feel welcome and, more importantly, safe when undertaking any of the dives they organised. The food was fantastic. I have gained a few pounds in weight it was that good. As for the diving itself, well, what can I say but "wow", Chris & Petra certainly knew the area extremely well and selected some fantastic thilas and giris etc. We would also like to express our thanks to the staff at Scubatravel who we found to be extremely helpful in sorting out our trip and also when answering our myriad of trivial questions. In fact we have been so impressed we would like to organise our next trip through your organisation. With this in mind we again would like your assistance in selecting the correct place and time to visit so as to gain the most from our experience. Thankyou. Joe

Well, we are back. We had quite the most fantastic time you can imagine. Thought a little feedback might be helpful: Emirates, outstanding. Flights very comfortable, great in flight entertainment system and excellent food. Monsoon, what can I say. Crew, really kind and helpful. Food prepared with genuine enthusiasm everyone loved it. Dive service, first class. Chris and Petra were brilliant, outstanding briefings before every dive, particularly good on the fish and other things we could look for and then always checking location / current before we dropped in. The diving itself was of course memorable, 3 dives per day and 3 night dives on top!!!. Scubatravel service, faultless, it was good to get the tickets slightly early, saves worry and all aspects of the booking together with being personally collected at Male by Chris, given a briefing of what to expect and escorted onto the sea plan with our kit so that we could get the check dive done on arrival just made the whole trip stress free. It was not surprising that so many divers we bumped into recommend your business and are repeat customers, we will be too but need to let our finances recover. So, rant over, very many thanks to you personally for organising just the best honeymoon we could have imagined. Colin and Marion

Dear All, Just a note to say thank you for the trip aboard Monsoon and the week on Kuredu,a great time was had by both of us. Chris and the crew of Monsoon ensured all ran smoothly and the diving was first class. We were also very impressed with the island and thought it had the edge on the other three we have visited. Once again thankyou for a holiday we will nevert forget. Stephen and Susan

Northern Atolls
Maldives Northern Atolls

The Northern Atolls were surely shaped by the hand of a diver. These virgin reef systems North of Male are infrequently visited, which means diving here is an exploration of the finest quality reefs cushioned in peaceful isolation.
