MV Orion is the culmination of many years experience diving in the Maldives and has been designed with the diver in mind. The guides and crews are experts in the area with literally thousands of dives between them. Together, the team will leave no stone unturned to ensure you have an itinerary filled with the awe inspiring encounters that makes the Maldives so famous.
At a massive 39 metres in length, Orion is a liveaboard that delivers hotel standards across the board. With a friendly concierge to hand 24 hours, 2 jacuzzis and even a massage room, your every creature comfort has been thought out. There are 12 cabins with a choice of twin beds or queen size doubles. There is even a master stateroom that not only has extra space but also it's own private deck area and jacuzzi. Each cabin also has its own plasma screen and DVD! The large sundeck is a perfect place to relax between dives and at the end of the day you can pull up a chair at one of the 2 bars on board and chat over the day's diving delights with fellow divers.
Orion will take you to all the classic reefs as well as some well kept secrets. The Indian Ocean is blue and always inviting at a warm 27 degrees. The dive sites mix up adrenalin pumping drift dives with gentler reef explorations so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Manta are the big highlight and frequent the waters flowing between the atolls. Whale sharks too are not uncommon in the area so keep your eyes peeled. These gentle giants share the waves with grey reef sharks, huge schools of snapper, barracuda and travallies. No 2 dives are ever the same in the Maldives and with Orion you are always in the safe hands of the experts.

An exceptional weeks holiday. Orion, the crew, dive staff and the diving were of the highest quality. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants fantastic diving, great accommodation, wonderful food and the perfect place to relax once youre out of the water. We have been lucky enough to go to many far flung destinations and the week aboard Orion was hard to beat. The dive schedule had something for everyone and with an abundance of Whale sharks, Mantas and other great sights during the week, it made for a great spectacle. Those also wanting good photos and Videos will not be disappointed! Frazer & Annette

Ber & I spent a fantastic week on MV Orion with Georgie and the gang. We had a fantastic time.he staff are incredible, accommodating and friendly at all times from the 6am wake up calls through to the last G&T order in the early hours. We were really impressed with the quality and variety of the food, Down to the special requests for apple pie & custard, nothing was a problem..! Now, the diving, was simply fantastic. I have dived a lot in the Red Sea and wanted to see more of the bigger stuff. e had a variety of sharks, turtles, snorkling with all the mantas, eagle rays, jacks, barracuda and at the end of some dives, sholes of dolphin popped up to say hello. We had one missing tick and that was to see a whaleshark. Through his network of associates, Alex soon announced, 20 minutes to whaleshark! A quick hop over the side of the dhoni and we were snorkling with it, class!!! John

We would like to thank everyone on MV Orion for a fabulous week. Everything was perfect and everything we asked to see we did. It was the first time we have done a liveaboard in the Maldives and I think MV Orion would be very hard to beat. Looking forward to our next trip with you. Boat was very comfortable, room was great, only complaint, there was no dive stamp to put in book, that took me all week to think of (it's now on order). Diving was very successful, we saw all the expected, Whale sharks, Mantas, reef sharks, Napoleon Wrasse, frogfish etc. Food was exceptional, Thai is my favourite food so I was in heaven. All the crew and guides were very friendly and helpful including the Dhoni crew. Everything went together very well to make a very enjoyable holiday. Tim.
