Truk Lagoon is a wreck diving paradise, surrounded by thousands of islands and an inviting aquamarine sea. It is the lagoon's historic role in the Second World War that has propelled the tiny state of Truk into diving legend. Beneath the waters lies the wrecks of the Japanese Imperial fleet - this is pristine wreck diving, smothered in marine life at recreational and technical depths. And there is no friendlier place to enjoy all of that wreck diving than from the family run Truk Stop hotel and with the expert guidance from the Truk Lagoon Dive Centre.
The Truk Stop hotel has a room to suit everyone, for all occasions. There are 23 spacious rooms, all with ensuite bathroom, private balcony, air con, fridge, TV and DVD. There are 4 room grades to suit al budgets from the 13 standard rooms and 6 ocean view rooms right up to the 2 Executive and 2 Presidential suites.
On site at the Truk Stop hotel you will also find the restaurant and Hard Wreck cafe. Stop at the bakery for a tasty and freshly cooked treat in between dives. The Body Shop offers massages and spa treatments if you have any aches and pains. And the Hard Wreck doubles up as a bar and hub of activity when the diving day is done.
Tear yourself away from the diving for a morning or afternoon for a tour around Weno island. This is a must do and takes in remarkable sites such as the old Japanese command centre and really brings home the historic story of Truk, mirrored by all those wrecks below the surface.

Truk Lagoon Dive Centre has worked tirelessly to build a reputation as THE dive centre to dive with in Truk. They have oodles of experience and approach each individual diver differently. There are no set packages here so no matter what your experience level or interest, they will ensure your diving ticks all the boxes!
You don't have to be a technical diver to enjoy the incredible Second World War wrecks. There are more than 20 wrecks at 30m or shallower! However if you are a technical diver, the Truk Lagoon dive centre is the place to be! The centre is fully geared up for open and closed circuit diving including trimix blends. Safety whilst exploring the many wrecks that are below 30m is always paramount.

There are 3 custom built dive boats that depart from the private jetty each morning and afternoon. A typical day starts with 2 dives in the morning and then a 3rd dive in the afternoon. We had a fabulous stay at the Truk Stop Hotel. The dive center rocks and Cindy and Rob are awesome. They are both so knowledgeable about the wrecks and the history of Chuuk, Truk Lagoon and Operation Hailstone. We really enjoyed diving with them and just chatting about their experiences. Add a few Brits to the mix and there was much hilarity to be had. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful and our stay was truly memorable. Craig and Beth

Its not often a holiday meets ones expectations, but this one really did. From the hotel, its staff and all the hard working dive staff, all our needs were met with a smiling face and friendly service. The only problem I have with the Truk Stop Hotel is the massive, 8,500 miles distance separating it from my home; otherwise I would be there every weekend!!! Andy

We were really impressed with your operation. The orientation was the most substantial I've ever been given. It showed the big picture of the Lagoon and its significance in history. It also was very clear about what to do and expect the next day. The diving was amazing. A real effort was made to show a wide variety of sites, plus you took time to do side trips to see dolphins, etc. I also really appreciated your technical skills and willingness to share that information. You guys just seemed engaged in our experience. Overall, we had the best time of our trip at Chuuk, despite its reputation. Thanks for all your professionalism and patience. Chris and Sheila

Have to say that although this was the 4th time I have been to Truk Lagoon this was by far the best trip. Dived wrecks I had not seen before and went to places on wrecks I had not been to on previous trips.
