About Compass Point & Ocean Frontier

Hidden in the sleepy village of East End, Grand Cayman, you will find the dedicated dive resort Compass Point and Ocean Frontiers. Together this indomitable duo offer a relaxing ambience with the convenience of your own private jetty, dive centre and access to world class Caribbean reefs. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of the larger Caymans resorts and discover a tranquil private beach and diving that will astound far from the crowds.

Compass Point is made up of 28 apartments with pool or ocean views. There are 1 bed or 2 bed apartments, all with en suite, a fully equipped kitchen, entertainment system in the living area and a jacuzzi jet bath. All rooms are non smoking. The decor matches the laid back Caribbean style of the whole resort. As a self catering option, you have total freedom. Try out the BBQ pits. But no fear if you don't fancy cooking every night! A short walk or drive and you can pick from a huge range of wonderful eateries - try Miss Vivines Kitchen for a taste of the local cuisine or a local fave Lighthouse at Breakers which is as famed for its grill as much as extensive wine list. We can arrange car rental as part of your trip.

The Compass Point is really focused on divers but if you are taking a day off or non diver, while away the hours in the sun on the secluded beach. When the temperature soars a hammock awaits in a shady spot. Feeling more active? Grab a bike or kayak to go exploring. Or why not try your hand at kite surfing. The school can show you how with lessons available (paid locally). There is never a dull moment. Kick back and enjoy the tranquil setting where adventure is on your doorstep.

Great condo environment for a dive vacation. Condos are spacious and comfortable. Each has a washer and dryer, as well as a full kitchen. The two-bedroom unit has two full baths, with jet tub and shower. Service is great, and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

This was the easiest vacation ever. A rental car was included with the package. All we had to do when we landed was pick up the car, make a stop for groceries, then drive to the East End and relax for a week. Our one bedroom oceanfront condo was spacious, comfortable, and we immediately felt at home. The dive operation is fantastic and the dive sites were awesome. The resort took our gear at the end of every dive, rinsed it, and had it ready to go the next morning. Breakfast was also included every day, and this meant that we had to do very little every morning to get ready for our first dives - which is great because I'm not much of a morning person!

Great dive resort with friendly, EXTREMELY helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Everything you could want in one location. Good for both beginners and advanced divers looking for a relaxing, carefree dive experience. Our ONLY gripe was the restaurant music. Would have liked to hear more island & tropical music along with a larger variety of songs.

The staff take your equipment when you arrive, rinse it after each dive trip, and have it set up on the boat the next day. All you have to do is walk down the pier and get on the boat. All dive locations were excellent. Hotel room was more like a condo, with a full kitchen, which allows one to save $ on eating out if they so choose. Beautiful views from the room...lounge chairs and hammocks right outside the back patio. On site restaurant was very good, but limited on breakfast menu. Hotel and dive staff very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I will be back.
