Croatia has a long and illustrious history, famed through the ages as a favourite seaside getaway for those in the know. And even today, this remains true. Oxygene Croatia is nestled on a stretch of pristine coastline, in the lively town of Crikvenica and in the heart of the wild and mountainous Kvarner region. This is an area that recognises the importance of protecting its natural history. Tiny islands and coves pepper the shoreline and there is more than enough to guarantee you many a happy hour exploring this treasure trove.

The Hotel Therapia started life regally. Built by the kings architects in 1895, there is no denying that the hotel was built for royalty. Yet it is not just the outside that is impressive. The Hotel Therapia has been offering first class therapeutic spa treatments since 1899 - a tradition it continues today in the enchanting Wellness centre. Comprised of 90 rooms as well as some apartments, the accommodation is 4 star and superb. Even more alluring, the Therapia sits right next door to Oxygene Croatia so no long transfers needed.

Oxygene Croatia is a full PADI and BSAC centre that can cater for every diver. From here you can experience the crystal clarity in warm Mediterranean waters and lose yourself enjoying the rich marine life. Gorgonians, anemones, sponges, walls and wrecks dives there is plenty to chose from and it can all be enjoyed from the comfort of the boat or RIB. Many trips also squeeze in some time ashore between dives, making this a fabulous choice for divers and non divers alike.

I just wanted to let you know that we had an excellent time in Croatia. Everyone that dived thought the diving was great and the sea was amazingly clear. The hotel was lovely and we all thought Croatia itself was beautiful (what we saw of it!). But the thing that made our holiday really special was how great Boris, Lara and Rik were. They were really friendly whilst also being very professional. They all took great care of us. Cathy (the other non-diver) and I went out on the boat a couple of times and loved going to the island for lunch and having the chance to chat to Boris and Rik whilst relaxing. Lara sorted out a day trip for us all to the National Park on our dive-free day and all three of them turned up in the morning to wave us off on our trip. All of us are now planning to go to the dive show in Birmingham just to say "Hi" to Boris again. We would definitely recommend this holiday and all of us hope to go back in the not-too-distant future. Thanks for everything you did for us. Fiona

Hi Alison, Just to let you know Douglas and I had a great time in Croatia. Boris, Ric and Lara made us feel like old friends, and my diving came on in leaps and bounds with their help (I had loads of buoyancy problems - not any more!). We loved going off on the boat for the whole day - very relaxing. Hotel excellent , although we didn't see much of it during the day as off diving! Many thanks for organising the extra days. Viv
