If you are looking for a shorebased diving holiday in Hurghada that has it all, then look no further. The Hilton Plaza in Hurghada is one of the city's few 5 star hotels and lives up to all of the expectations you may have of this world famous hotel chain. This is a truly family friendly option and there is plenty on site for non divers too including a private beach!
The Hilton Plaza has 224 rooms over 3 rooms grades. The guest rooms have sea views and balcony. The deluxe rooms are just that bit larger with a big bath for relaxing in at the end of the day. The suites boast a separate living room and rooms as well as a dining area. Adjoining rooms are available on request. Wifi is available (paid locally). Dine in the a la carte or main restaurant in the evenings. During the day grab a tasty bite at the pool or beach bars. Everything you could need is close to hand! If you want to head out into Hurghada town of the evening, you are only a 2 minute drive from the best bars and restaurants.
This really is a family friendly hotel with bags of activities on offer for all ages. There is a baby sitting service for the smallest guests as well as kids club. There is also a dedicated children's play area. The pool is huge and heated so you can while away the hours poolside. Or grab a massage at the health centre. Tennis, squash, mini golf, sailing and other water sports are all on site as well as the dive centre - ideal for anyone who get bored by the pool!
Please be aware - limited areas of the Hilton Plaza are being renovated until 2013. Every effort is made to minimise disruption and all work is carried out during the daytime (while the dive boats are out!)

Hurghada is one of the original Red Sea resorts with a mighty reputation for it's varied diving. Giftun Island, Abu Nuhas, Um Gamar, Abu Ramada... these are just some of the dive sites that made Hurgada's name. The majority of dive sites are all under an hour from shore - pick from wreck dives, shallow reefs or plunging drop offs (no wonder Hurghada is also fast becoming a tek diving hot spot). Novice divers and certified divers will all find the ideal dive site to jump in on. Just grab your kit and away you go!
As Emperor Hurghada dive centre is on site at the Hilton Plaza, you can just wonder down to the dive centre each day. No messing about! The onsite pool is heated and perfect for practising those all important skills. The classrooms are also on site so you can really maximise your time. PADI and BSAC courses can be taught in a number of languages - few teams are as experienced as Emperor's dive team!

Certified divers are just as well looked after as those learning to dive in Hurghada. Most dive sites are an hour or less from the jetty and the fleet of boats departs daily for two or three tank dives. These are large, comfortable boats with plenty of space to kit up or relax in the sun between dives. Special trips and night dives are all arranged locally if you want to squeeze in yet more excitement or bottom time. Nitrox and technical gases are also available on request. And at the end of the day, grab a drink and join the team to watch the sun set to celebrate another awesome day.
