Only a 10 minute transfer from Marsa Alam airport, the Marina Lodge sits in the heart of the impressive Port Ghalib complex. Port Ghalib is an up and coming marina in the Marsa Alam area and is surrounded by desert along a stretch of unspoilt coastline. The focus here is on the remarkable diving and trading stories at the end of another great day blowing bubbles.

Formerly the Coral Beach hotel, the Marina Lodge is a 3* hotel that was designed for divers. Each of the 206 rooms is decorated in a Nubian style and set around their water side location. Overlooking the harbour, pool and out to sea, air con, balcony, mini bar and en suite come as standard in a range of twin, double and family suites. Emperor Oxygene Marsa Alam run the in situ dive centre, bringing with them their ever high standards and enthusiastic team. With pool and boat access right to hand, the knowledgeable dive guides know where the best sightings are.

Port Ghalib opens out to an area that is home to some of the Southern Red Seas most famous dive sites, including Marsa Abu Dabab and Shaab Samedi. Learn to scuba dive or drift the depths of Elphinstone, the diving is versatile and all PADI courses are offered. A 7 night package on a half board basis is available, including a 5 day dive pack (2 boat dives a day). The Marina Lodge and Emperor Oxygene Marsa Alam deliver a quiet getaway for divers who want to get the most out of the Southern Red Sea.

As expected transfers, hotel and Dive operation all excellent. We had a relaxing week, good food, great company and lovely diving. Lynda & Richard

Good afternoon, Just wanted to give you some feedback on our latest trip to Marina Lodge diving with Emperor Divers. Exceeded our expectation, hotel nice, staff, on the whole, very friendly, food excellent. We had reservations about Emperor Divers as, in the past, we have not been too impressed with what we have seen above and below the water out of Sharm. However, we found the organisation at the Marina Lodge, slick, very well organised, very professionally run, with a friendly, efficient group of staff. The boat that we were on, Empress Rachel, had great and friendly crew, spotlessly clean with excellent food. About the diving, that was lovely, very relaxing, coral pristine, dolphins under the water and the dugong on the surface. What more could we want? Would certainly go again. Many thanks again to the staff your end. Lynda & Richard

Thank you for organising our trip, it was a case of third time lucky for us this year at Marsa Alam ,we had oceanic's with us the entire dive at Elphinstone (less than a metre away) and after years of thinking they were making it up we finally got to dive with the famous mystical Dugong - it really does exist! Back to reality at work today, planning our next holiday. Annie

Marsa Alam Learn to Dive
Marsa Alam Learn to Dive

Marsa Alam is a relative new comer in the Red Sea resorts and its natural topography makes it ideal for novice divers. The shoreline is broken up by natural bays which have a sand or sea grass bed. Not only does this mean there is marine life a plenty to watch, but you can take your time getting used to diving...read more here
