Marsa Shagra has been introducing divers to the delights of diving in the Southern Red Sea for nearly 20 years. Everything about Marsa Shagra has been designed to have as little impact on the environment as possible and the camp is perched right on the sea front. Stroll out of your tent into the watery wonderland that awaits. With unlimited dive packages and decades of experience, Marsa Shagra offers a refreshing change for divers who really do want a diving holiday in Egypt that leaves only bubbles.
Marsa Shagra camp has grown over the years but retains the Bedouin feel that is at its heart. The village is kept intentionally small to minimise impact - the maximum number of guests is determined by the house reef! Today you can chose between several accommodation grades for all budgets. Chose between the classic beach safari tents or royal tents with their extra space, a mini fridge and seating area. The Mandarah lodge rooms are stone built with private terrace. These 3 room grades have access to modern toilet and shower facilities. The Madyafa guest houses are similar in their classic domed design with en suite facilities and private sun terrace. They are available with fan or air con at Marsa Shagra.
Our standard holiday package to Marsa Shagra is on a full board basis. Meal times are kept flexible so you will always have plenty of time to dive without missing. Non divers are always welcome - why not try your hand at kite surfing, explore the desert (bird watching especially recommend) or just relax with a massage. So no matter what level you are - leave the world behind you in Marsa Shagra.

Marsa Shagra's dive centre is on site in the camp so no transfers needed. The local guides have years' of experience diving in and around Marsa Alam - these were some of the very first divers here to identify and name sites! If you are learning to dive you can train right through from your first tentative fin kicks underwater right through to Instructor. Want to dive tek? Why not explore the steep walls of Elphinstone or the drop offs? TDI courses are also available on site. No matter what you need, this dedicated dive team will make it happen!
