About Kinbe Hotel & Scuba Playa

Scuba diving in Mexico is the stuff of Caribbean diving dreams. Not only can you enjoy the outstanding reef dives that have made this corner of the globe so famous but Mexico boasts it's own unique dives... the cenotes. Follow your expert cave diving guide as you wend your way through the crystal clear fresh waters of these underground caverns. The oppluent walls of Cozumel are legendary reef dives and a must see. Take a trip to Mexico for a distinctive dive holiday above and below the water where no two days are ever the same.

The Hotel Kinbe is a modern hotel, quite literally built around the local fauna. There are only 29 rooms so the hotel retains a warm, friendly feel but is situated right in the heart of Playa del Carmen. Chose between 3 room grades. The moody rooms are twin or double with ensuite. The garden view rooms are either twin or with a king size double, with a terrace opening out to the tropical gardens . Some also have a partial sea view. The poolside rooms have a king bed and that extra touch of glamour. All rooms have a plasma TV, en suite , free wifi, in room safe and air con comes as standard.

The hotel itself sits just opposite from the dive centre - it could not be more convenient! The beach is just 50m away. Relax with a drink as you soak up rays on one of the stylish sun beds, overlooking the ocean. Yoga classes and spa services can be arranged locally. You are only moments away from 5th Avenue, Playa del Carmen's hot spot. Here you can find bars, restaurants and clubs a plenty. So pull up a chair and while the night away listening to live Cuban music or the mariachi band.

A brilliant dive centre! The staff are super friendly and helpful From the first email booking the owd course. On arrival I was greeted by really friendly and helpful instructors and staff. Both Vicky and Gustavo guided me through the open water program from Beginner in 2 days with patience and reassurance during. I will definitely return and recommend. thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Location

Cancun is around 11 hours flying time direct from London. Los Cabos is around 18-20hours indirect flying time. Mexico's Carribbean coastline is famous for the cenotes dives. Cozumel's rich drift dives and the whalesharks of Isla Mujeres. On the Pacific coast, the remote locations mean pelagics. The diving on this side is more advanced, more rugged and action packed.

Weather and Climate

Both the east and west coasts of Mexico enjoy a warm climate. It's a brilliant place for winter sun! For the Caribbean coastline, you can expect more rain over our summer months, but this tends to be in the evenings. It can be stormier between July - September and humidity higher. Los Cabos is more arid, with a year round average air temp of around 25-28 degrees.
