Now you have the option to dive not only Bunaken national park and Lembeh but also Raja Ampat in one inspirational tour. Pristine reefs, giant manta, rare critters and big fish all make an appearance. Fully escorted by the friendly and wonderful team at Dive Safaris Asia, you can now explore Indonesia's most beautiful dive sites, encounter marine life of all shapes and sizes and experience life surface side on a single itinerary of pure perfection.
This is an exclusive, fully escorted tour, blending the phenomenal diving with land based excursions to really give you a flavour of just how incredible Indonesia can be. The group is kept intentionally small at a max of 14 people and the resorts carefully chosen for their superb service and fast access to prime diving locations. Tasik Ria resort is one of north Sulawesi's best known resorts and only 45 minutes from Manado. Secluded and fringed by palms, the rooms have all the mod cons you would want including AC, mini bar, en suite and safe. The Raja Ampat diving lodge sits on an alluring white beach. Sit on your veranda at the end of the day and listen to the hornbills and parrots in the jungle. The duplex rooms are all ensuite with AC and decorated tastefully. All meals are provided on the tour and will be some of the tastiest you have tried on a diving holiday.
Over 32 dives and 13 nights, the Best of Indonesia tour focuses on 3 main distinct diving areas across this vast island nation. Bunaken stands out for the quality of the wall dives. Lavish corals explode off the drop offs. Turtles cruise along the shallows. And eagle rays can be seen in the blue. Move to Lembeh and the diving is all about the magical macro. Here you find the densest concentration of unusual, extravagant and rare critters, often just resting on the black sands. Raja Ampat changes the pace again. Here you are on the look out for pelagics, although the reef diving is no less impressive. Just 20 minutes on the boat and you could be playing with manta, looking at reef shaks, bewildered by wobegongs and admiring the huge swirls of barracuda and snapper.

Most customers will arrive into Manado, North Sulawesi via Singapore. Then you will be transferred with the rest of the group to the Tasik Ria resort before it is off for your check dive!
Bunaken 2 full days diving are planned in the Bunaken National park. Night dives are available but not included in your tour package.
The walls of Bunaken are in phenomenal condition. Most dives here are a drift. Let the current take you as you enjoy the sheer drop offs. The eagle eyed can find an impressive range of macro life but there is always the chance to find larger pelagics or turtles too. Eagle rays and reef sharks are commonly seen at the Leukan series of dive sites.
Lembeh Straits 2 full days diving are planned in the Lembeh Straits. Night dives are available but not included in your tour package.
Get up for an early breakfast and then jump in the jeep for the trip over to the Lembeh Straits. It is all about the strange, small and unusual marine life that literally is just lying on the black sands.
Key dive sites include Critter Circus, Aw Shuks and Tanjung Pisok.
You spend 6 nights at the Tasik Ria resort where you can easily access both Bunaken and Lembeh dive sites. The is the option to take a afternoon tour to see Tarsiers (paid locally approx $70pp).
Domestic flight You will leave North Sulawesi behind and get ready to move onto Raja Ampat. This requires a domestic flight and overnight at Le Meridien, Sorong before your transfer the next morning to the Raja Ampat dive lodge where you will be spending the remainder of your trip.
Raja Ampat 5 days diving are planned in Raja Amapt. There are over 40 dive sites around Raja Ampat, all a short ride from the dive lodge. After each dive you will return to the centre for snacks and refreshments.
Cape Kri is one of the most famous dives with just about everything underwater at 1 site. Manta Point is famous for the manta sightings. Crossover is a good place to find the strange wobegongs. Mike's Point is a great location for schooling fish and Sardines is just packed with fish of ever size and colour. Mansuar is especially good for pygmy sea horses.
Once your diving is finished, there is a day tour of Waigeo Island at the end of the trip. See the famous birds of paradise and if you are lucky, watch them do their crazy mating dances. You then have the remainder of the day free to go kayaking, snorkelling or to look round the local villages.
You spend 6 nights at the Raja Ampat Dive Lodge.
Departure At the end of your stay in Raja Ampat you will catch a domestic flight back to Manado. Your final night in Indonesia will be spent at the Minahasa resort. There will be a chance to climb one of the highland volcanoes at Mawahu and Lokon. The view in incredible and you can relax in the hot springs before your final flight home. Final transfers are then made the following morning for your international flight home.
