If you love coral, and the marine life that lives amongst it, then Fiji is the place for you. And now with the Fiji Expedition you can spend even longer sailing the many island and inslets that surround Viti Levu from the comfort of the region's premier liveaboard. Leave behind you the stresses and strains and escape into a world of white beaches, clear blue seas and pristine reefs for 10 nights of awe inspiring diving that is guaranteed to impress.

Departing from the Tradewinds hotel, your first port of call is Wakaya Island. Here there are passages and wall dives that promise to lure in big fish at Manta Point. Dive into the abyss at Wakaya Pass for a nerve tingling experience. From Wakaya the boat then moves to Gau Island which is characterised by the verdant coral gardens at Jim's Alley and swift drift at Ningali Pass. The Island of Koro is the next stop off to dive at Black Rock Cavern whose overhangs and cave system will thrill. Namenalala Island is an exposed stretch of barrier reef with too many dive sites to count but the Chimneys and Magic Mound are popular spots here and are on the agenda as often as possible. Naisonisoni is a deep seamount and is an adrenalin charged dive. The final leg of the Expedition stops at Makongi Island where the likes of Makongi Channel and HI 8 await before commencing the journey back to the harbour.

The Fiji Expedition is packed with all manner of marine life from the largest rays and sharks to the smallest tiny nudibranchs. Get some serious encounters at Ningali Pass, E6 and Gem Stone. Turtles are often seen at Sand Point and keep your eyes peeled on Wakaya Pass for nurse sharks alongside blue ribbon eels and marble rays. If you prefer the bright colourful reef fish then almost every dive site will leave you with a smile. Koro Gardens and the Coral Gardens are just as their name implies - simply overgrown with hard corals, whips corals and sea fans. Barracuda, tuna and big file fish can be found on white rock whilst the Chimneys are brilliant for finding the smaller critters like pipefish and nudibranch.

The Fiji Expedition will appeal to all divers and all levels of experience are welcome. There are some locations with currents but the dive sites are a good mixture of shallow pinnacles and deep drop offs. The Fiji Expedition is also a good choice for non divers that enjoy snorkeling with plenty of opportunities to dip your fins into the warm clear waters. With a trip ashore to a traditional kava ceremony once evening, everyone can get into the Fijian swing of things. Nitrox is available but rebreathers are not supported. With so much to see underwater, it does not matter what your interests are - this itinerary will deliver. Photographers and videographers will certainly not be short of subjects!

You never know just what you will find underneath Fiji's aquamarine seas and discovery is very much a part of the Expedition's appeal. There are more dive sites than we could list and this itinerary will suit anyone that likes to spice up their holiday with some exploration and adventure. No matter if you love big fish or macro life, there is something that will get your adrenalin pumping and with the gorgeous back drop of the Fijian South Pacific, the Fiji Expedition will take you one step closer to paradise.
