South Visayas Itinerary
This is an example itinerary and shows what you can expect to visit on a typical South Visayas itinerary. The schedule is subject to change according to prevailing weather conditions.
Day 1
On arrival you will be taken to a hotel for day use while you get ready to board the boat that afternoon at around 14:00 from Mactan Island.
Day 2
The check dive is made at Tambuli before heading to Marigondon. Focusing on the Cabilao Island 3 dives are planned at sites such as Hammerhead Point, Southwest Point and an optional night dive. This is usually a good day for pelagics and drift diving.
Day 3
Moving to Panglao Island and Baliscasag for 4 dives at sites such as Duljo Point, Napaling, Pamlacan Island and the Southwest Wall. This is a good day for reef fish - jacks, batfish, wrasse and napoleons. Manta, grey reef sharks and whitetips are frequently also seen.
Day 4
The boat sails to Siquijor Island for 4 dives. You will dive at Tonga Point, San Juan, Paliton Wall and Daquit Shoal. Keep an eye out for prolific fish life, ribbon eels, and beautiful corals. The gorgonians are gorgeous.
Day 5
The visit to Apo Island is a highlight and the area is a marine sancutuary. Dive at Coconut Point, Cogon Point, the Marine Sanctuary and Mamsa Point. An island visit is also optional. Apo Island is great for rays, turtles, black tip and white tip sharks. The strong currents attract a lot of fish.
Day 6
This is a chance to explore more of Apo Island visiting sites such as Olo Point, Old Volcano, Jigdup Reef and the Sunken Cemetry.
Day 7
The whole of day 7 is spent at Dumaguete with dives at Tacot and Calong Calong Point. Following dives are made at muck diving sites looking for frogfish and ornate ghost pipefish.
Day 8
Day 8 is split between Dumaguete and then heads to Cebu. Rays are often seen at dive sites such as Looc Liloan Point. 4 dives are planned for this day.
Day 9
Staying at Cebu for a couple more dives looking for more manta before moving off to Sumilon Island where there are turtles, sea snakes and a variety of sharks. 4 dives are planned for this day.
Day 10
Day 10 is the last day's diving and starts at Baliqasac, looking for pelagics. The boat then return to Cabilao for the final dive. 2 dives are made on this day. The boat then moors at Mactan Island for the final night on board.
Day 11
This is the final day of the trip and you have breakfast on the boat before heading to the airport for your international flights home.
