Diving in Turks & Caicos might not be the best known of the Caribbean destinations but that just helps to make your holiday all the more unique. Discover the secrets underwater here before the world realises just how impressive the diving really is! Yet Turks & Caicos is a large area and with over 40 islands, you could not hope to see just what makes it a spellbinding diving holiday from shore. To really get the full experience you need to be on board a Turks & Caicos liveaboard. And with our luxury liveaboard, you don't have to miss a moment of underwater magic. As the attentive crew and expert sail team navigate the waterways, cays and islets, you can soak up the atmosphere surface side before splashing to the water where the real action is found.

Starting in North West Point, a week of sublime wall diving awaits. The regular currents that weave around the islands provide a constant stream of nutrients, feeding gargantuan elephant sponges and coral. Most dive sites are wall dives and the thick carpet of coral that covers each dramatic drop off slips into the abyss. Pretty angel fish, drums and parrot fish wend their way around the reef while morays, lobster and octopus peek out from the ledges. Loggerhead, hawksbill and green turtles can all be seen and often approach divers for a closer look. Reef sharks are seen on most dives but French Cay and South Caicos are the areas where pelagic sightings are at their fastest. Eagle rays, manta and southern sting rays are all seen in this area, enjoying the peaceful isolation as much as you will. Nurse sharks come here to mate in the summer, chasing each other across the shallows. There are wreck dives too, reminding us of the regions pirating history.

Looking for something that delivers that extra special something? The Provo to Grand Turk itinerary is only run a handful of times a year as the boat moves between locations so you are guaranteed to experience something quite unique. Few divers make this big loop between all of the area's best dive sites. Seen all that the Caribbean has to offer divers? Think again! Turks & Caicos sits on the gateway to the Atlantic and the deep water draws species in that you do not find in other areas. Be surprised by your diving once more as this charming itinerary works its way under your skin.

This is a typical example of the Provo to Grand Turk itinerary. The schedule is subject to change according to prevailing weather conditions and is only given as a example of what you would usually encounter during your holiday.

Day 1
Depending on your flight arrangements you may require an overnight en route. On arrival at Providenciales airport, you will then be met and transferred to your liveaboard in the afternoon where you can settle into your cabin. Dinner is served and the Captain will give a welcome briefing.

Day 2
Spend your first day diving at North West Point. 5 dives a day are planned all week where conditions permit. A check dive will help you get used to the diving and find correct weights. Shark Hotel is a deep plateau smothered in plate corals. A chimney cuts through, dropping down. The highlight at Black Coral Forest is an overhang and no less than 5 types of black coral to find. At The Crack the wall doglegs to create a space for divers to swim through. Turtles are nearly always seen here. A night dive wraps up the first full day's diving.

Day 3
The boat will wake up in West Caicos for a full day's diving. Dive at the Gullies, where stunning sponge formations top the wall, and the Anchor, where a 17C anchor is wedged into the reef and covered in white anemones. Nurse sharks can be seen here. Whiteface is named after the white sandstone cliffs that make up the islands. A curious resident reef shark lives here and often comes in to check out divers. Finish off your day's diving at Rock Garden Interlude where the turtles this time come in to investigate before dinner and the night dive.

Day 4
Spend the whole day in French Cay. Start the morning back at Double D where you should look out for passing eagle rays. G Spot is a sumptuous wall is densely carpeted by gorgonians and giant sponges. There are nearly always reef sharks in the vicinity. This is often voted best dive of the week so jump back in in the afternoon to enjoy it all over again before heading to Half Mile for your final day dive. The night dive then follows dinner.

Day 5
Going past the normal turn back point, today the boat will head towards South Caicos. En route stop at West Sand Spit. Here there are pillar corals, gorgonians and barrel sponges. Hiding on the sea bed are often nurse shark and stingrays. French angel fish post prettily on the reef top. Airplane is an unusual wreck dive as it is quite literally an airplane which sank 30 years ago. It is now encrusted in soft corals and sponges, attracting a lot of smaller reef fish. The Arch has an impressive swim through - great for photos. This area is generally good for pelagics so keep your eyes sharp. Loggerhead turtles can also be seen here - a rare and special sighting indeed. There will then be a night dive after dinner.

Day 6
Complete a couple dives in Salt Cay. Currents here are gentle so you can really enjoy meandering across the reef in peace. Point Pleasant boasts pompano and tarpon sightings as well as huge caverns to look inside of. The Endymion is an unsalvaged 18th century warship and brilliant wreck dive to contrast the reef diving done so far. Chief Minister has some of the biggest warm water anemones you will ever see and boxfish in all colours. Aquarium is the final day dives and will live up to it's name. The last night dive of the week follows dinner.

Day 7
After your morning dive at Yelowstone (slender filefish) you will head towards the harbour at Grand Turk. The boat will dock at approx 13:00. You can then go ashore to sight see in dinner is ashore at a local restaurant (not included).

Day 8
Wake up to breakfast before departing the boat around 8:00. You will then be transferred to the airport for your return journey home. Due to flight connections, you may require an overnight en route.
