Here at Scimitar we are proud to offer everything you need for a perfect diving experience from dive boats for club charter and individual bookings to an SSI dive school offering a range of courses to suit everyones ability whether you are just starting out or want to enhance your qualification with some scuba specialties. Throughout we provide the highest levels of quality, knowledge and service.
We have three boats available for divers – Scimitar, Sabre & Cutlass and we run throughout the year, dives can be booked online or directly with us. Our gas station is open from 8.00 until the last cylinder is filled throughout the summer and air, nitrox and trimix are available . For those who wish to get fills at odd hours we also have a self fill air station.
We are home to the LAPD (Loose Association of Portland Divers) who are a mixed bunch of divers representing a large variety of levels, agencies and locations. We welcome all divers and our aim to get out and about diving as much as possible, our motto: forget politics, just dive!

With the number of trips we organise each year it was inevitable that we became a Scuba Travel Recommended Dive Centre. Enquires from the non diving public are growing weekly, many wish to learn whilst on holiday so a mix and match a package holiday, currently we have the following departures scheduled.
Mistral
The newest addition to the award winning Tornado Marine Fleet, Mistral is a stable steel liveaboard with all mod cons! Departing from Sharm, you will spend 7 nights on board on a full board basis (twin share cabin). This is a classic itinerary in the Northern Red Sea with up to 21 dives over the week. All marine park fees, 12lt tank and weights are included in your package. All trips are fully guided with 2 expert guides. Flights are with Monarch from Gatwick and transfers are also included

One of the best ways to learn to dive is to complete the pool training and classroom sessions in your local dive centre and then finish off the four open water dives in tropical warm waters. Why spend time in the classroom when you could be diving?

Home and Away with Camel Dive Centre
