How to get the vey best out of it.
King of the Crop
I’ve recorded a little video for you all today to take you through one of the new tools that I’ve found quite useful within my usual Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop workflow.
It’s called Content Aware Crop and brings to bear the powerful algorithm at the heart of Adobe’s picture editing software solutions.
I’ve looked at the Content Aware segments of Adobe Photoshop in earlier blogs and will post all the links at the end of this post, but suffice to say that this aspect of our favourite image editing suite of tools is a very good reason to stick with Adobe as your software of choice for the moment…….
To Affinity and Beyond
I say this because there is a new kid on the block called Affinity which I haven’t had a chance to do a compare and contrast side by side series of tests yet, and to be honest it’s a bit like when you choose your bank when you’re young and tend to stick with it long term through thick and thin, change at this stage seems a hassle, but I reserve judgement to change my mind after I’ve had a good play with the young pretender.
Anyway without further ado here’s a couple of examples of me using the Content Aware Crop tool in anger, and also how to remedy issues that may occur if you’re using this software.
Earlier posts covering the use of Content Aware tools.
I run photo trips around the world and very spare moment is packed with learning opportunities. So why not join me on a future excursion and learn first hand how to get the best from your underwater photography and photo editing.
