Egypt: Grand Sea Serpent was the place to be this week. On a Simply the Best itinerary the guys on board with our very own Georgie had a total blast – and the diving excelled too. Hammerheads stole the show at Daedalus, a thresher shark, grey reefs at the Brothers were all awesome moments underwater. Dolphins went blazing past on the surface. And for those divers that prefer the smaller stuff, turtles were seen everywhere. Anemone City was a wonderful highlight too.
Maldives: Most of our liveaboards have been in dry dock this month, getting spruced up for the manta season. Scuba Travel’s Caroline is off on holiday (what else do we do in our free time) to check out the start of the manta action. Watch this space.
Philippines: Kasai Village resort has recently been visited by fabulous photographer Erwin Poliakoff. The images can be found online on his flickr site and are well worth checking out if you have ever wondered what the diving is like. The macro is clearly outstanding with such a range of nudis, crabs and little critters. But the schooling fish are also wonderful, and Erwin has really captured some of the magic we see underwater.
