About Mistral

Sail on Mistral for your next Red Sea liveaboard for a week to remember. Mistral is the very latest liveaboard in a long line of award winning vessels from Tornado Marine Fleet and her quality is evident from bow to stern. Attention to detail here is key and Mistral has been lovingly laid out to optimise space on board with super speedy engines to make sailing supremely comfortable. She boasts a host of extra facilities to make your week all the more enjoyable so jump aboard today!

Mistral has four double cabins located on the upper deck and eight twin cabins on the lower deck. Each generously sized cabin has a modern en-suite bathroom, individual controlled A/C and safety deposit. The upper cabins have one large double bed and the lower cabins have a large double lower bunk with an additional single upper bunk bed. All cabins have ample storage space and vanity unit. If you have a cabin preference just remember to ask at the time of booking.

The luxurious feel extends to the communal areas. The saloon is decked out with a plasma screen - ideal from comprehensive briefings. There are no less than 2 sun decks. The first sun deck is covered with a bar area and jacuzzi. The upper sun deck is vast and has plenty of space for everyone to lounge out. Photographers will love the dedicated camera room on the dive deck with rinse tanks and air gun. And technical divers will benefit from high pressure gas blending (including trimix). Ntirox is available for fills up to 36%. The extravagantly fast 1150Hp engines allow Mistral to get to the next dive site quickly and with 2 powerful RIBS, you will be the envy of others as you whisk past. The steel hull complements her speed and Mistral is incredibly stable in the water (ideal if you have not found you sea legs!). All in, Mistral is a welcome addition to the superb fleet of Red Sea liveaboards Scuba Travel offer and with such excellence, why book anything else!

Main deck cabin

Mistral has four main deck double cabins, located on the upper deck. These cabins have lovely big rectangular windows facing the ocean. All cabins onboard Mistral have en suite, air con and safe. There is no surcharge for the main deck cabins.

Lower deck cabin

Mistral has eight lower deck cabins. The lower deck cabins all have port whole style windows, bunk beds, en suite, air con and safe.

I recently went on a trip to the red sea from Hurghada with Dave Challiss group on the Mistral, 8th - 15th July.I just felt I wanted to tell you that I was really impressed with the service of the team who met me from the airport and then made sure that I was delivered back to the airport safe and sound and in plenty of time for my flight. The staff aboard the Mistral were excellent as always, making sure that we all had a great time.

Boat is very stable in rough seas. It is the best boat in the fleet for photography with the dedicated camera room. It is always kept very clean. Crew were fantastic from Abdel in the galley through to the engineer and all the boat men. They were always there to help us kitting up, dekitting, getting in the rib safely and up the ladders. It was Ramadan but they were all very helpful and did everything with a smile. Crew gave excellent briefings. My dietary requirements are difficult for the chef, but they did their best to feed me well. Thank you

First time on the Tornado Fleet, and it more than met my expectations. The boat is very well set up for diving, with good facilities for camera work. Comfortable cabins, kept very clean by the team. Nice and stable, even in rough seas.

An excellent sea boat and a great platform for diving. In a rough passage across the gulf of Suez it was more stable than a wooden boat. The rooms were a good size for a live-aboard and the air con was effective if a little fierce at times. The boat is well provided with a camera room and air line.

The Captain made sure we were the only boat on the Thistlegorm, the crew couldn’t be any more helpful and friendly. The dive guides briefings were extremely comprehensive and he had the enthusiasm of a new diver, always smiling!

The dive guides were really knowledgeable, especially with fish recognition (Reda). They made the dives fun and really interesting. The crew were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Any problems were sorted out quickly, and they were really helpful when I was getting ready to dive. They are also friendly and a little mischevious.

Back home from a great Red Sea Relaxed week on Mistral with Paul Duxfield. The itinerary is brilliant and the care and attention of Reda Mohamed & Mousa as the guides along with the hard work of the crew, especially while fasting for Ramadan and running an open deck was all done with big smiles and a great sense of fun. After doing a number of Red Sea trips with Duxy I'm amazed that they keep getting better and better 😄 Thanks to my fellow guests too for such a great week with dolphins, good diving and lots of laughs.

A very nice boat, just the right size for our group. Very clean inside and out. The cabins, although conservative in space are well laid out and surprisingly comfortable. Storage is also sufficient. The dining area is also very clean and pleasant. Outside spaces are plenty and offer a nice selection of seating in and out of the sun.

Reda’s dive briefings have been outstanding! It is great to learn about the history of the wrecks and also to understand the currents better. It is also lovely to listen to someone so passionate about the wrecks and the reefs. The rest of the crew have also been fabulous, very helpful and friendly
