My husband and I stayed here along with our good friends (another couple) for about 8 days. It was perfect--exactly what we'd wanted. It's a small resort (20-something rooms). Very diver friendly--rooms have hard floors so that it doesn't matter when your gear drips on the way to hang it out on the rails on your balcony. The dive shop was super helpful and accommodating (we were picky about where we wanted to go and they did their best to take us there), the divemasters were excellent (we loved all of them--my favorites were Norman, Jorge and both Matts).

Cozumel is a world famous dive destination - the sponge drenched walls attract divers, looking to enjoy the rush as they drift along the rich drop offs. Blue Angel's dive centre have been diving the water around Cozumel for over 20 years - it's safe to say, there is not much about diving in Cozumel this team don't know!
Blue Angel dive centre are a full PADI 5 start instrcutor development centre, offering PADI recreational and instructor levels courses. Their ethos is one of safety, professionalism with a strcit adherence to PADI standards but all the while making sure everyone has fun!
- Dive the Cozumel marine park - rich sponge walls
- PADI recreational & instructor level courses on offer
- Flexible dive schedule and boat departures
- Small dive groups
- Dedicated dive team on site
As many of the top dive sites around Cozumel are predominately drift dives, we do suggest divers want to be AOW or above to really experience the full range of sites. There are however some shallower sheltered locations too, which are ideal for newer divers or even snorkelers. During a typical stay at Blue Angel you will dive the big name sites of Cozumel as well as a few of the hidden gems. The dive centre runs several boat departures throughout the day so you can take the pace of life at your own speed.

This was our first visit to Cozumel in over 12 years, and our first stay at the Blue Angel Resort. Cozumel has changed quite a bit since the hurricane and the cruse ships, but it is still a fun place to visit. The diving is world-class. The Blue Angel was everything they advertised and then some! It is a small property, only 22 rooms, but that just means personalized attention. Is it a luxurious 5-Star resort with hot and cold running room service? No, but in my opinion it was a lot better: It was comfortable. I go on vacation to relax, and that's what you can do here. Relax, decompress, and let the stresses of life go away for a while. The staff were all friendly, attentive, and were happy to help us with whatever we needed. The dive operation was just steps from our room, and was very professionally run by Matthew and his crew. I'm a military-trained dive medical officer, so I tend to be a little nervous about resort dive operations. No problem here, this is an excellent facility
