Hi Sue, just wanted to say thank you to you and Scubatravel for all your help and advice in arranging our holiday to Isla Mujeres. We had a fantastic time and the diving was awesome. It was great to dive somewhere different like the cenotes. I would also like to say how impressed we were with divemaster Steph from paradise divers she really looked after us. We loved the laid back vibe of the island and that the hotel was small, friendly and not to busy. I would definitely recommend this location for a family diving holiday. Kind regards Lesley

Just returned from an awesome trip to Mexico. Tiffany and Brad, the new managers were really helpful and organised lots of things for us including the snorkel with about 40 whale sharks and a days diving in The Cenotes. Ivan our dive guide was great and we had some fantastic local dives. Lots of turtles and rays. Food at the Hotel was delicious (try the nachos and guacamole) and we also enjoyed eating out at some of the many restaurants in town just a 2 minute taxi ride or 15 minute amble away. Again Tiffany was great at recommending good places to eat. All the staff at the hotel are so friendly and we enjoyed some lovely cocktails and live music at the bar overlooking the sea on numerous evenings. We will certainly be back!

If you want to go diving in Isla Mujeres these are definitely the people to go diving with. Super professional, brilliant local knowledge and they obviously have a huge amount of experience. Not only that but they're great fun as well. I hope I can get back diving with them very soon.

What a great experience and what great people at Paradise Divers,Marina Paraiso. Dick and Morna have so much patience and are so professional in their instructions. They make sure you know what you are doing and that you are comfortable with the instructions. They made me feel completely safe and secure. Diving at Isla Mujeres is a surreal experience; the fish are amazing, plus rays, lobsters, and of course the MUSA dive was my goal and my favourite. I would recommend Paradise Divers at Marina Paraiso. The Marina itself is very nice and clean, they serve good food and have live music some evenings. Tell Frank, Dick and Morna that Kathy sent you!!

Cancun is around 11 hours flying time direct from London. Los Cabos is around 18-20hours indirect flying time. Mexico's Carribbean coastline is famous for the cenotes dives. It is easy to overlook the tiny island of Isla Mujeres, dwarfed by it's larger cousin Coumel. But look closer and you will discover an island that those in the know prefer to dive. This Mexican destination makes Caribbean diving affordable but without sacrificing any of the quality UK divers expect. Here you can enjoy outstanding reef dives, visit the unique Underwater Museum MUSA, dive a local wreck and even snorkel with whalesharks - all from the convenience of your on site hotel and dive site.

Paradise Divers are a small yet incredibly competent dive team. They are able to teach recreational level PADI courses, with an onsite pool and classroom for your comfort. Equipment is new and kept to the highest standards - ideal if you need to rent an item or 2. All experience levels are welcomed by the friendly team and nitrox is coming shortly to the island.

  • Dive protected marine parks
  • Colourful, healthy Caribbean diving
  • Dive the unique Underwater Museum - only 10 minutes away
  • Seasonal whaleshark encounters
  • Ideal for all experience levels
  • Small dive groups

A typical day includes 2 morning boat dives, departing from the private jetty. Optional 3rd dives and night diving can be arranged locally. One of the must see highlights here is the Underwater Museum MUSA. Close to the dive centre these underwater statues and sculptures have been sunk in less than 10m water to create both a living art installation and artificial reef.

Many of the dive sites around Isla Mujeres are predominately reef dives, all kept in top condition by the region's marine park status. The reefs here are colourful with large sea fans, schools of grunts and dripping in sponges. Hard corals hide morays or look out over sandy patches between bombies for large rays and turtles. There are puffer fish everywhere! And plenty of macro for the most ardent photographer. Most sites are less than 15m deep but there are even a couple of wrecks around 25m.
