alamBatu Beach Bungalow Resort, located in north-eastern Bali, has everything to get divers' hearts beating a little faster - this is a brilliant destination for novice divers and professional photographers alike. Countless coral and muck dive sites in the vicinity offer unique diversity. You reach all the dive sites in no more than 20 minutes on one of the fast boats. This a boutique resort on the beach front, just north of Tulamben, where you can dive and relax. Jump on in!

There are two types of accommodation on offer - the 12 bungalows and the 3 villas. The majority of rooms a bungalows, generously dimensioned (40 m2) and built in the typical Balinese style with roofs thatched in alang-alang. The bungalows blend harmoniously into the landscape and are surrounded by plants and trees - so plenty of privacy is ensured. A comfortable lounger tempts you to linger and enjoy resting on the terrace. If you prefer, you can also sleep outdoors (ask us for a mosquito net). The bathroom is at the back of the bungalow; WC and washbasin are roofed and the shower is in the open - showering in the open air is a wonderful sensation. Travelling solo? The Sendiri bungalow is next to the pool and is smaller than the other bungalows - ideal for single occupancy. Villa Ayam 1 (sleeps 4) and 2 (sleeps 2) are separate but share a private pool and garden. Villa Anton is perfect for divers! Near the dive centre, this villa has no sea view.

We love the "all in" package which includes full board meals, 3 boat or shore dives plsu 1 hour spa daily. Exchange dives for additional spa time or land hours to explore Bali.

Around the resort you will find Bali-style pavilions with traditional grass roofs invite you to relax - and how about a refreshing dip in the overflow pool? Visit the spa for an invigorating massage or a relaxing floral bath. Delight in the harmonious ambience of the gardens, fill with traditional plants, butterflies and birds. Coconuts, papayas and mangos abound here - and they also enrich the restaurant menu!

The restaurant isn't just a venue for guests to meet over breakfast and dinner. Throughout the day, they also gather here to swap stories, play games, sip coffee or just relax and read books. If you want to explore Bali overland, alamBatu offers various half - and full-day tours. On request, we offer Jeep tours lasting several days - a truly exceptional experience. Another treat: a visit to the local market in Rubaya.

The alamBatu house reef, situated directly off the resort, is a wonderful and mostly untouched reef of over 800 meters. The coral diversity varies from soft corals, black corals, table corals and gorgonians up to 2 meters in diameter. The corals shelter a fantastic underwater world with many schools of fish (including juvenile barracudas, snappers), reef sharks, sea horses, harlequin shrimps and other critters.

Aside from the beautiful house reef, there are numerous nearby dive sites that offer a variety of diving options including coral diving, muck diving and wreck diving. By Boat it only takes 15 minutes to get to the "Liberty" wreck or to the famous dive spots "Drop off", "Ulami" and "Coral Garden" in Tulamben.

Nitrox is free of charge for certified divers. The standard package is based on house reef diving, but you can upgrade to boat dives for a small supplement in resort, Blackwater diving is also available in resort.

Night dives and fluo-diving are also offered. Equipped with a blue light and a special filter for your mask, the fluorescent animals glow in different colors; providing a glowing underwater experience that you will love.

alamBatu is also an outstanding place for macro photographers. Our dive guides are great at spotting micro critters such as pygmy sea horses and other small species.

Snorkeling is also possible and is a good alternative to scuba diving. The top of the reef offers you to see many different sea creatures.

Photo workshop at the boutique Balineese resort Alam-Batu on the ALL IN package and photo pro Martyn Guess! Your Bali adventure includes 10 nights in a AC bungalow (based on 2 people sharing) on a full board basis, 3 dives a day and free nitrox, and 1 hour daily spa treatment.
