Carpe Novo is a luxury liveaboard built by divers for divers. From the moment you step on board, you know you're in for an incredible trip, where your every whim is catered for. Lovingly crafted, no detail has been overlooked. Speed your way to dive sites on the huge 18m diving dhoni (boat) and then head back to Carpe Novo where the relaxation begins. Many of the staff have been with the fleet since the very beginning - your holiday is in safe hands with Carpe Novo. Over a spacious 43m and 3 decks, you will find 12 tastefully finished cabins. Take your pick of the individually named cabins. Downstairs you will find Turtle, Dolphin, Barracuda and Napoleon, each with a queen bed and single alongside. Frogfish and Octopus are twin bedded. Single divers will love the 2 dedicated single cabins, Eagle ray and Manta ray, on the main deck. Move to the upper deck where you find the 4 junior suites. Thresher shark and Hammerhead have a comfy king size bed, whilst Whaleshark and Tiger shark can be arranged as a twin or double. The views from the main deck and upper deck cabins are sublime. No matter which rooms you pick, all have smart TV/HD linked to a media centre with plenty movies on offer, AC, storage space, desk and thoughtfully finished en-suite bathrooms. Wifi operates throughout. Please remember to discuss your cabin requirements at the time of booking - a specific cabin will be allocated so you know exactly where you will be on board. As you move from the stern sitting area through towards the saloon, the sheer size of Carpe Novo hits you. The width is impressive and throughout rooms are generously proportioned. The cool, inviting indoor lounge area has a large flat screen TV and entertainment system and library. Just in front outside is a comfortable and relaxing outdoor shaded seating area - watch for dolphins! On the upper deck is the the al-fresco dining area where guests will be served delicious meals. The crew will keep your thirst quenched from the fully stocked bar and there's yet more space to relax with your book. The fly deck is one of the most popular hang out spots. The banked seating are shaded, whilst the loungers are ideal for sun lovers. Grab your sundowner and head here for spectacular views of the setting sun at the end of another fabulous day in the Maldives. Recreational nitrox mixes will be free of charge for all certified divers.

Best of Ari Atolls gets you face to face with the famous whalesharks of Ari atoll. As this itinerary devotes more time in Ari atoll, you are certain to get your whaleshark fix at Maamagili. Iconic dive follows iconic dive as you sail from Male through North Ari and then onto South Ari, your log book will fill with shark and manta sightings as well as outstanding reef dives. Then grab your snorkel and splash in to float only feet away from graceful whalesharks. Pelagics of all shapes and sizes await. What more could you ask for!
With around 17 dives as well as opportunities to snorkel with the whalesharks, this is an action packed week. The pelagic sightings start right from the beginning. Manta Point (otherwise known as Lankan Finolhu) is a cleaning station with reliable manta sightings. Just settle down and watch the manta swoop in. Hafsa thila and Maya thila are yet more iconic dive site where sharks are plentiful. Look out for baby white tips under the large table corals. But it is at night that Maya thila really comes alive. Reef sharks and marble morays hunt dinner out as morays slink between the coral blocks. As you reach south Ari keep a look out for the whalesharks. Maamagili is the place to find whalesharks at this time as they follow the seasonal currents. Manta chase plankton trails too into the nearby lagoons. Between your pelagic encounters, the reef dives will not disappoint. Discover the lush corals and schooling fish at the likes of Reethi thila and Kuda Rah.
Best of Ari Atolls is a great itinerary for everyone. No matter what your experience level this is a Maldives itinerary you can enjoy. There can be some drift diving so some experience of diving in currents in advisable. Don't forget to take your reef hook to make shark watching all the easier. As so many of the best whaleshark encounters are snorkelling, everyone can feel the thrill of seeing these graceful sharks in their natural environment. Spend more time in South Ari on this pelagic packed Maldives liveaboard adventure! Dive the seasonal hot spots from a dhoni tender. Visiting North and South Ari, Carpe Novo offers offers on average 17/18 dives during a 7 day trip or 26/27 dives during a 10 night trip, including one or two night dives. All diving is from a dhoni tender, with 12lt tank and weights are included, as well as free of charge nitrox. You have booked a standard cabin on a full board basis (twin/double share cabin) - cabin upgrades available. Tea, coffee and drinking water are included in your package. All trips are fully guided. Excluded are alcohol, fruit juice, soft drinks, additional kit hire and any on board souvenirs. Please let us know if you would like to prebook any diving courses on board or have any dietary requirements. This holiday excludes international flights to Male, but includes airport transfers. We are able to add flights with a wide range of airlines, including regional departures. Please ask your consultant for competitive quote for any flight option. Do not book any flights until your boat space is confirmed by Scuba Travel. Transfers operate at fixed times.
