Dewi brings true 5 star liveaboard holidays to Indonesia's most pristine and remote dive sites. Discover Raja Ampat and Cenderawaish Bay for the creme de la creme of Indonesian dive destinations, visiting regions few other divers will ever see. Despite it's old world design, echoing the schooners and sail boats, Dewi is a thoroughly modern dive boat with all mod cons and creature comforts. Why not sail into the sunset on Dewi if you long for a Indonesian diving holiday with a true sense of adventure wrapped up in absolute luxury.

Dewi is one of the largest liveaboards in the region, ensuring total self reliance at sea. At 57m from point to stern and a generous 12m wide, there is more than enough space for each one of the 18 divers she serves. Pick from the standard state rooms which can be arranged as either twin or double beds. Splurge on the Master suite (at the stern of the boat with full ocean view to the back of the boat). Equipped with a seating area, tables, a king size bed and it's own jacuzzi bath, you too can experience the glamour and luxury that was once saved only for the captain.

Everyone is a VIP on board Dewi! Start your morning with the wake up beverage service. Dining is al fresco, with a mix of international and Indonesian dishes. You might be in a remote location, but you certainly won't go without on Dewi - make sure to sample from the selection of fine wines on board. Between dives relax in the lounge (TV& DVD player), grab one of the ship's sun beds or hammocks or even indulge in a full body massage. There are sea kayaks if you fancy exploring the local waters. You can even challenge the crew to a game of backgammon, although they are masters!

With no less than 4 dive guides and on average 22 crew, you will never lack for anything... above the water or below it. Many guests coming on board are photographers and there is a spacious dedicated camera area and kit room to keep your gear safe between dives. All diving is from one of the boat's 2 tender vessels. Nitrox is available on board (paid locally) and rebreather divers can be accommodated but please do check all the details before travel so we can ensure the correct kit is on board for you on arrival.

Whilst Dewi typically offers Raja Ampat itineraries, she also makes seasonal special trips and transitional itineraries. Whilst they do not appear on our regular schedule of availability, Scuba Travel are able to book these holidays.

Itinerary Details

Dive the wish list destination Raja Ampat with one of Scuba Travel's hand picked liveaboards. This is the ultimate Indonesian dive adventure, packed with big fish to macro and mind blowing bio diversity.

Raja Ampat Discovery Description

Raja Ampat may be difficult to find on a map but it is a scuba diving experience quite unlike any other and one of the all time great Indonesian dive destinations. This is a vast expanse of sea, peppered with literally hundreds of tiny islands and coves, which means the only was to truly explore Raja Amapt is on a liveabaord dving holiday. The bio diversity is off the charts with walls, reefs, pinnacles, caves, mangroves and black sands, each creating a unique eco system - and this Indonesian liveaboard itinerary visits them all in one magical diving holiday.

As the name implies, the Raja Ampat Discovery explores this vast corner of the globe. There is much still to discover but Raja Ampat lies at the heart of the coral triangle and the reefs are in pristine condition. Areas such as Fam and Kawe boast an enormous quantity of schooling fish. Regular shark sightings at Fiabacet and Uraine are an undeniable highlight. Mansuar is the place to head for mantas and turtles. Epaulette and wobegong sharks can also been seen, rushing across the seabed at Waigeo. Snorkel with the resident dolphin pod in between dives! Macro lovers will be in paradise at Bantana or Kri where muck diving is the order of the day with a myriad of bright, colourful critters - some of which have only been recently identified by science! Pygmy sea horses, mimic octopus, cockatoo wasps, coleman shrimps... there is no end to what miniature marvels await.

The Raja Ampat Discovery is the dream itinerary if you want to try something new. With so much still to be explored, you can witness new dive sites and undiscovered marine species. Photographers should make this a must see destination. Diving conditions can vary enormously from site to site so it is advisable to be advanced and comfortable with drift dive procedures. Nitrox is available on board but this is not a technical itinerary. Raja Ampat truly delivers a trip of discovery - this is an adventure into a world that few other divers will ever visit. Drop out of the rat race and let the dedicated guides and crew spoil you. Splash from the back dive deck into a marine wonderland that will leave you speachless each and every day.

You can dive Raja Ampat from several liveaboards, each offering different trip durations. This means that the exact itinerary will depend on which boat and duration you chose. Please ask your travel consultant at the time of booking to outline in more detail your proposed itinerary and dive sites.
