Bunaken Oasis Resort | Martin Edge Indonesia photography

Our photographer Says...Bunaken has everything you would want to create stunning wide angle images, but that's only half of the story! There's also some great macro critters. It's a flexible program which will make the difference and this flexibility will provide us with the opportunities. This is totally the opposite of the usual regimented dive profile - enjoy dive flexibility in this stunning national park MORE

Scuba Seraya Resort | Best of Bali with Martyn

Our photographer Says...Bali is an amazing and relaxed place and Scuba Seraya is a fantastic and well-run diving resort right on the beach. The house reefs - Seraya Secrets and Noisy reef - are probably the best that I have dived with excellent macro subjects to photograph, the first early morning dive on the Liberty wreck is superb wide angle and the reefs at Ahmed blew me away! This trip to Bali has been planned to visit Bali at its seasonal best. MORE

Carpe Vita | Best of the Maldives

Our photographer Says...The Maldives has a special place in my heart. I learned to dive in the Maldives and I won my first major photo competition (Young Amateur Photographer Of The Year!) with a photo taken there, so returning is always special. This trip promises to be even more so, because we are doing the Maldives in Style. We have chartered the luxurious Carpe Vita liveaboard, but I am only taking 12 guests on a boat that sleeps 20. That means loads of space aboard, and most importantly lots of photographic space underwater. Alex is running the new format workshop Wet And Dry, that is divided 50:50 between underwater and post processing techniques. The workshop will cover the photographic techniques to capture the subjects we are focused on as well as a detailed Lightroom post processing workflow to help get the most from your shots. says Alex MORE

Aiyanar Beach & Dive Resort | Philippines Finest with Mustard

Our photographer Says...Anilao is most famous for nudibranchs, and is probably the world top destination for sea slugs. But it is so much more, you can really find all the macro critters you could ever want here: frogfish (including hairy), octopus (including mimic, wonderpus, blue ring, coconut), flambos, pygmies, huge numbers of special shrimps, the list goes on and on. In Dumaguete, we had 9 frogfish on the check dive and things just built up from there. If you like skeleton shrimps, prepare to be amazed. The workshop will become less intense in Dumaguete with teaching focused on shooting the Prime Subjects and image review sessions. It is also a fantastic place for anemone fish photography, with upto 7 species on some dives MORE

Whirlwind | Red Sea Photography Workshop

Our photographer Says...Although I have been doing Northern Red Sea photographic liveaboard trips every summer since 1998, I love the diving so much I can never wait for the next one. And I am not the only one, my workshops tend to book up quickly because experiencing it once is never enough.
My workshops are not aimed at absolute beginners and most people have SLRs, but cameras snobs are not allowed! All I ask is that you are enthusiastic. MORE

Hotel Faial Resort | Azores Blue Sharks with Martyn

Our photographer Says...The 2018 trip was so popular, we just knew we had to run another workshop in 2019 with the Blues, with a hotel change to the fabulous 4* Do Canal. This is your chance to photography with these magnificent sharks. The reef diving is rewarding, and I have chosen the sites carefully for their photographic value, with a range of wide angle opportunities as well as macro life. The islands themselves are very photogenic too, and the land tours are are excellent addition to the underwater elements. We have adapted the itinerary in 2019 to balance diving activities with image reviews and presentations. MORE

Hurricane | Whitetips and Wonders with Mustard

Our photographer Says...Last editions of this workshop have been so amazing that I have to do it again in 2016. In 2015 we had oceanic whitetips at the Brothers, Elphinstone, Daedalus and Rocky Island. All in one week. We also photographed scalloped hammerheads, silky shark, thresher shark, tiger shark, grey reef shark and reef whitetip shark. And swam with 150 spinner dolphins and even photographed them mating. And when we weren't doing all that we were shooting the amazing reef life and scenery. You can see why I am doing it again. MORE

Atmosphere Resort | Master Macro with Martyn

Our photographer Says...I cant wait to go back to Dumaguete. A really well run resort and dive staff that know intimately what subject is hot and where to find them. For our first dive we were advised that Frogfish were in abundance and boy they were not exaggerating! An hour later and we had literally filled our boots with subjects ranging from a tiny pink example to hairy, painted and warty frogfish. One of the guys found 21 frogfish in an hours dive! The trip in early May should guarantee similar opportunities. The trip will enable attendees to brush up on and learn new macro skills, including various lighting techniques, snooting and super macro as well as hopefully compile a collection of turtle images. With hands on instruction through group image reviews and evening presentations as well as underwater instruction for those needing it everyone will have the opportunity to return with a great portfolio. Lembeh Resort | Best of Manado with Martyn

Our photographer Says...There is a multitude of weird and wonderful critters to photograph and nobody will be disappointed with the portfolio of images I will help them to build. Bankga is a place that I went to when I first started travelling around the world with my camera and the combination of macro and wide angle opportunities give this location a point of difference and a great combination with muck diving in Lembeh. There are coral reef wide angle opportunities for some great scenic shots as well as blue water for macro subjects. I cant wait to help people with their photography and have no doubt that participants will return with an improved skill set. MORE
