Our photographer Says...1 MALE SHARE SPACE This is one of the best places I have been to photograph classic coral reef scenery in with clear water and sunny conditions. There are loads of mighty schools, turtles galore and the place has a reputation for providing encounters with whale sharks and plenty of other big stuff. This is one a few locations in the Philippines where you can reliably dive with the big stuff and typically in 30m+ visibility, ocean water. Mantas, mobulas, reef sharks, eagle rays, tuna and dolphins all pitch up in this oasis of life in the middle of the Sulu Sea. Equally attractive are the thriving corals, especially hard coral and soft coral gardens and attractive sea fans. MORE

Oceania | Signature Itinerary
Our photographer Says...NOW FULL PNG has always had the most incredible reef diving, but the liveaboards working have not boasted the same standards of accommodation that divers enjoy elsewhere. MV Oceania totally changes that and this trip was planned back in 2018 when the boat was still being built, allowing us to reserve an October trip, right at the peak of the best diving season. The workshop will be based on MV Oceania, taking in their Signature Itinerary covering their three most popular diving areas of Kimbe Bay, Witu Islands and Fathers Reefs. The trip will start and finish directly at Walindi resort, the cruise preceded by a two night official pre-trip warm up MORE

Atmosphere Resort | Master Macro with Martyn
Our photographer Says...I cant wait to go back to Dumaguete. A really well run resort and dive staff that know intimately what subject is hot and where to find them. For our first dive we were advised that Frogfish were in abundance and boy they were not exaggerating! An hour later and we had literally filled our boots with subjects ranging from a tiny pink example to hairy, painted and warty frogfish. One of the guys found 21 frogfish in an hours dive! The trip in early May should guarantee similar opportunities. The trip will enable attendees to brush up on and learn new macro skills, including various lighting techniques, snooting and super macro as well as hopefully compile a collection of turtle images. With hands on instruction through group image reviews and evening presentations as well as underwater instruction for those needing it everyone will have the opportunity to return with a great portfolio. Scuba travel has been running photography workshops with Alex Mustard since 2009. In that time hundreds of divers have travelled the globe, visiting the world’s top diving destinations with this master photographer. We work carefully to build each trip around the timing for the best possible encounters. Alex’ workshops are always popular, aimed at enthusiastic underwater photographers. They are not competitive - it’s as important to have fun as it is to improve your skills and learn new techniques.MORE
Martyn Guess
Martyn has been taking underwater photographs for nearly 20 years having first learnt some basic skills on a holiday in Grand Cayman.
