Palau is one of diving's most bewitching destinations with reef and wreck diving as well as that special something extra. In idyllic seclusion you can escape from the world for a special occasion or well deserved break. The azure waters that surround this lush island nation shape the most divine diving holiday in Palau. It is simply teeming with marine life, wrecks and virgin coral reefs. Diver or snorkeler, there is plenty to admire. Great sea fans wafting the currents. Hard and soft corals fill the reef plates while clown fish guard their anemones from passing fish. Snapper, jacks, barracuda and napoleons swim in the blue. German Channel is the most famous wall dive where rays pass and sharks patrol in the currents. The wrecks are awesome reminders of Palau's role in the Second World War. Or take a trip to the unique jellyfish lake, filled with thousands of sting free jellies.
Learning to dive has never been more enjoyable than with Fins 'n' Fins. The classrooms overlook the Rock Islands but if you want to speed up your course and spend more time underwater, e-learning is fully supported here. PADI courses from intro dives to instructor level are all taught on site. There is even a Blue Corner Specialty, where you can learn more about this thrilling dive site with all its sharks, rays and turtles. The on site photo pro is also to hand to teach you how to get the best out of your photo or video kit. They also arrange camera rental or can film your special moments for a momento to treasure.
Most diving in Palau is by boat and Fish 'n' Fins and they have a fleet of shaded boats to jet you off to the next diving thrill. Group sizes are strictly limited so everyone can really get the most out of the diving. A typical day is a two tank dive with lunch spent at Rock Island inbetween dives. Grab your snorkel or just soak up some rays in the surface interval. Dive sites fall into the must see list - the big name sites that lure divers to Palau - and the best of the rest - some of the lesser dived sites well worth a visit. There are also chances to "shore" dive on an excursion to Jellyfish Lake, Clam City or Zero Fighter. It is well worth bringing a reef hook for some locations. If you are having a day to off gas, the dive centre can arrange fishing or kayaking trips (local charges apply).
Buffet meals or a la carte are served in the resort main restaurant
Evening themed buffets and live music
Sample local draft beers served perfectly paired with delicious snacks
