Discover the diving of Saba and St Kitts on board Caribbean Explorer 2. St Kitts is well known as being one of the most picturesque Caribbean islands and has incredibly varied diving to boot. Saba Island is home to exhilarating wall dives with pelagics and swirling fish balls. Virgin reef systems and coral gardens as well as shark dives and drifts await. And with up to 5 dives a day, your Caribbean liveaboard delivers one diving thrill after another.
Caribbean Explorer II sleeps up to 18 divers and is 35m. There are 4 cabins on the same level as the dive deck with a mix of queen double or twin beds. In the lower deck you find twin cabins, some of which have a double bed with bunk above. Please do let your consultant know at the time of booking if you have a specific cabin preference. All cabins have en suite and a centrally controlled air conditioning system.
The saloon is located on the upper deck with entertainment centre, comfy chairs and the bar. Meals are served here and your package includes free alcoholic drinks after the day's diving is done. Or head towards the sun deck to work on your tan, enjoy a read or just soak in the glorious view. The boat will stop at islands for a beach excursion during the trip. Down on the dive deck your kit is stowed safely away in your personal locker. Cameras can be set up in peace with the dedicated facilities on board. And everyone has easy access to the water. Giant stride off the deck and let the real adventure unfold.
Our advertised dates operate from St Kitts to St Maarten as this is the most effective flight route.
The boat also runs St Maarten to St Kitts on alternating weeks. flight options with this route are typically indirect and would normally require en route hotel stays.

The upper deck of the Caribbean Explorer II features a large sunning area with comfortable lounge chairs and chairs, as well as the semi-enclosed, air-conditioned salon with entertainment center, seating areas and wet bar. Forward of the salon is the galley, as well as crew accommodations and access into the pilothouse.

St Kitts & Nevis is only 10 hours on a direct flight from London.
St Kitts is the larger of the two islands, and famous for the postcard perfect beaches. Dramatic mountains pepper the landscape. The island is a bustling mix of Dutch, British, French and local cultures. There are plenty of bars and restaurants, where you can soak up the vibe. Or simply flop onto the beach and enjoy endless sea views.

The daily average temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius in January and February, and 28 °C from June to October, which is the hottest period. The stormiest weather is June to November. Water water temps range from around 26C in Jan-Feb to 29 in Sept-Oct.
Flights are direct to St Kitts with British Airways from London with around 10 hours flying time. You will then need to fly between St Maarten and St Kitts with a local airline. We are unfortunately not able to redeem airmiles on your behalf. Please do not confirm any flight arrangements yourself before your holiday is confirmed by us.
As the flights are direct to St Kitts, there are no stop over options
UK passport holders holders are able to obtain a tourist visa on arrival. Do ensure your passport has 6 months validity from your return date. You will be able to manage your booking online once you have been ticketed (after you have paid your holiday balance). Most airlines will now enable you to select your seating at this point. On arrival for our St Kitts holidays, you will be met and taken to your liveaboard. Simply make your way to through baggage reclaim and immigrations. Your transfer will be waiting for you with a board with your name or liveaboard. If you have any issues at all locating your rep, please contact us. We have an emergency contact, manned by a member of the team here in the UK. Please call 0044 7747 488 002. We will be able to help your rep locate you in the airport.
We are not able to prepay for transfers in St Kitts. You will be met by a prebooked driver and taken to your liveaboard. This journey usually costs around $20$30 per person per way.
You will usually finish your trip in St Maarten. Disembarkation is after breakfast in the morning. You can leave your bags on board until your departure time for your flight. The crew will assist with a taxi, that needs to be paid for locally. On arrival back in St Kitts, you can wait at the airport until check in opens for your flight back to the UK. The depature tax from both islands is around $25 each.
Friday dinner is not included in your cruise - the crew will make recommendations and reservations
If you are spending additional time on St. Kitts, you may wish to obtain Eastern Caribbean Dollars. The U.S. dollar is widely accepted and preferred on all islands; therefore, it is not necessary to purchase currency before arriving. Major credit cards are accepted widely throughout the islands as well.
The vessel has a satellite phone for incoming and outgoing calls. Please be aware that a charge is assessed for both incoming and outgoing calls.

A typical deposit for Caribbean Explorer 2 will be 30% of your liveabaord package. Additional payments maybe required to secure your flights. This will be due once your holiday has been confirmed. Your balance will then be due 90 days before travel.
We accept mastercard and visa debit or credit cards. If you would like a pay by link to complete check out via email please let us know and it can be set up for you. We do not take AMEX. All non sterling card payments and UK business debit cards will be subject to the 3% surcharge. Alternatively, you are welcome to pay via bank transfer. Overseas bank transfers must add £8 to the sterling total to cover international handling fees. We are not able to accept PayPal transactions or personal cheques.

Your holiday excludes international flights to St Kitts SKB or 1way flight from St Maarten to St Kitts. Ask your travel consultant for a competitive quote to arrange international flights. To pay locally are departure tax, fuel surcharge $140, park fees $135, nitrox $150, optional land tours, kit hire and any on board souvenirs. Friday dinner is not included in your cruise - the crew will make recommendations and reservations Standard for crew gratuities on dive trips (if, of course, you are happy with the service which you have received) is between 10% and 15% of the package price per passenger.
