Fushifaru | Maldives Resort

On the north eastern edge of Lhaviyani atoll sits the exquisite island resort of Fushifaru. We love this resort, with it's traditional, yet classy, Maldivian vibe. It's perfect for couples looking to get away from it all, and hide out in a beach or water villas. Fushifaru is more than just a resort to relax in. It is a gateway to a legendary atoll, hosting famous and fast moving dives between the two channels connecting the atoll's inner lagoon to the outer sea.

Your home at Fushifaru will be one of the resort's 49 beach and water villas. The aesthetic here merges quintessential Maldivian design and architecture with modern decor. Sunrise side, there are 11 beach villas (96sqm) and 7 pool beach villas (122sqm). On the sunset side of the island are 15 beach villas and 10 pool beach villas. Or spoil yourself with one of the 5 water villas - these are the same side as the beach villas, but the views are divine. The sunrise Villas look out towards "Maakandu", the wild open Indian Ocean while the Sunset Villas look out towards "Etherevari", the calm crystal clear lagoon and the Water Villas face "Kandu-olhi", the vibrant channel.

The resort offers a range of meal and drink plans to suit every taste and budget. Whilst we recommend booking at least half board, full board , all inclusive and premium all inclusive options are available. Savour mouth-watering dishes at one of the two resort restaurants or enjoy in villa dining 24hrs. Rejuvenate your body and mind at Heylhi Spa.

If you are more musically inclined, try your hand at playing the boduberu drum or book yourself . For the more adventurous traveller, hop on a Dhoni or a luxury yacht and join the many activities that Best Dives Fushifaru can offer such as, scuba diving, snorkelling, turtle quest, local island visit, sandbank excursion and many more. Just a few minutes away by boat from the island is Fushifaru Kandu, a Marine Protected area teeming with diverse marine life, unique cave formations, a manta cleaning station and much more; a true haven for diving enthusiasts and snorkellers alike.

Weather and Climate

Whilst there are 2 monsoon seasons (Nov-Apr & May-Oct), the diving remains excellent year round. Diving operators will changes their dive sites in each season to find the best hot spots for the big fish! Traditionally, our summer months tend to be windier with a higher chance of rain, whilst the winter months are flatter. However, the seasons are much less predictable in reality and its a fabulous place to dive whatever time of year!

Sri Lanka is our most popular, up coming destination - with beautiful beaches, it's a great alternative to staying in the Maldives resorts. The choice is yours! As we are able to book most major airlines to the Maldives, you can also add a stop to break up your flight. Popular locations include Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi.
