The established favourite

The new-generation sister ship
Launched in 2025, Adventure is the larger sister ship: modern, spacious, purpose-built around relaxed Red Sea diving — and the only boat in the fleet with dedicated single cabins.

Cabin 1, the lower-deck double suite, is £100 per person — the same supplement as an ordinary upper-deck twin. Prefer more room to yourself? Sole occupancy of a twin is available for a £1,000 supplement.

The questions our team is asked most often about these two boats.
Explorer is 37 metres and carries 24 guests in 12 cabins. Adventure is 44 metres and carries up to 26 guests in 14 cabins, including two dedicated single cabins. Explorer was built in 2021 and refitted in 2026; Adventure launched new in 2025. Both boats share the same crew standards, the same guiding, free nitrox and the same protected Scuba Travel package.
Ghazala Adventure has two dedicated single cabins: cabin 3 on the lower deck at a £400 supplement, and cabin 14 on the upper deck at £500. They are not part of our standard allocation, so please ask and we will check availability for your date. Ghazala Explorer has no single cabins. On either boat you can take sole occupancy of a twin cabin for a £1,000 supplement.
Lower-deck twins are included in the headline price on both boats. On both boats an upper-deck twin is £100 per person and an upper-deck suite is £150 per person. Explorer's top-deck twin/double, cabin 13, is £100 per person. Adventure also has a lower-deck double suite, cabin 1, at £100 per person — a suite for the same supplement as an ordinary upper-deck twin.
Either. Both run small groups of no more than eight divers per guide, both include free nitrox and both have the same dive team standards. If it is your first liveaboard we would usually suggest a northern route such as Wrecks and Reefs, which has shorter crossings and shelter, rather than picking on the boat alone.
It is a fair question and one our team is asked often. On both Ghazala Explorer and Ghazala Adventure the lower deck has open circulation routes and full-height doors as emergency exits, so if the main stairway were blocked you would walk out through a door rather than climb through a hatch or crawl space — which is what a lot of older boats rely on. Both boats also carry life rafts, EPIRBs, CCTV throughout, automatic fire detection and suppression, and night watchmen on continuous patrol. If the layout is on your mind, do call us and we will talk you through it before you book.
Lower-deck cabins move the least, are closest to the dive deck and carry no supplement, which suits light sleepers and anyone prone to seasickness. Upper-deck cabins have daylight, a view and easy access to the salon and bar. Explorer's top-deck cabin 13 is the most private cabin in the fleet. See which deck suits you for the full picture — and do not rule out the lower deck on layout grounds, as both boats have full-height emergency exit doors rather than crawl spaces.
Yes. Free recreational nitrox is included on both boats for divers with the relevant qualification. Air fills, weights and a 12-litre tank are also included; 15-litre tanks are available on both boats for a supplement.
Return UK flights, transfers, seven nights full board, your diving with a 12-litre tank, air fills and weights, free nitrox for qualified divers, port and marine park fees, and lunch at the hotel on departure day. Prices start from £1,595 per person on Explorer and £1,650 on Adventure. Everything is ATOL protected.
They share most routes, including Wrecks and Reefs, Simply The Best, Get Wrecked, Brothers Wreck Special and North and Dahab. Explorer also sails St Johns, Classic Red Sea Wrecks and our Escorted Get Wrecked departures, which Adventure does not currently run. If a particular route matters to you, choose the route first and let it pick the boat.
Yes. Both boats have a dedicated camera room with a work table and charging points, plus charging stations on the dive deck. Adventure's camera room was built in from the start and is the slightly larger of the two. Explorer's was added during the 2026 refit.
