We are proud to recommend the Nautilus Explorer a Canadian-built ship custom designed for divers, with a strong focus on comfort, smart use of space, and exceptional standards of safety and professionalism.

Built strong for ocean crossings
Constructed from heavy steel and engineered for open-ocean travel, the Nautilus Explorer is designed to handle long crossings with ease. Her stabilised hullform, passive stability system and bulbous bow work together to deliver a smoother, more comfortable ride in blue-water conditions.

ISM safety certified The Nautilus Explorer is widely recognised as the world's first fully SOLAS-certified dive ship, holding SOLAS / ISM passenger-ship certification aligned with the same safety framework used by the largest cruise vessels at sea.

Million-dollar views (above water, too) Between dives, guests can relax in the dining room and main lounge, where large panoramic windows frame sweeping ocean views including unforgettable Socorro sunsets.

Life on board: wonderfully easy
For a small ship, the 132 ft Nautilus Explorer feels surprisingly spacious. There are inviting areas throughout the vessel to unwind, review photos and video, fill in your dive log, enjoy a quiet read, or settle into the main salon for evening presentations and slide shows. After a full day at the manta cleaning stations, nothing compares to soaking under the stars in the hot tub.
The hot tub deck is a favourite gathering place, offering a warm soak between or after dives, with drink and snack service on hand to keep you comfortable and well fuelled.

Onboard Wi-Fi Internet access is available via onboard Wi-Fi, allowing guests to stay connected when offshore conditions permit.

Dining: fresh, generous, and diver-approved
Great diving deserves great food. Meals onboard are freshly prepared and generous, with homemade soups, breads, pastries and desserts baked onboard. Guests can expect up to four meals a day plus snacks, with a menu that blends North American and European flavours alongside a touch of Mexico. Most special dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.

Diving: The incredible Socorro Islands
The Nautilus Explorer schedules itineraries to the incredible sites of the Socorro Islands, famous for manta rays, humpback whales, and vast schools of fish. The back of the boat is home to the dive deck, with a 5-ton hydraulic crane, water-level platform, and reinforced steel deck for film and scientific crews. Nitrox is also available for certified divers, and the Nautilus Explorer is rebreather-friendly.
