Nitrox, extra dives, special trips, land tours, drinks and alcohol outside of your meal package are all billed for and paid locally in resort
Tipping is entirely at your discretion. We do not make recommendations as to how much to tip. Should you wish to leave a tip for the staff and crew, it should reflect the level of service you have enjoyed.
Please ask for a quote to add international flights from the UK to Port Moresby/Hoskins. We can book most major scheduled airlines including regional UK departures.
About Walindi Resort
Walindi Plantation Resort, established in 1983, is an intimate dive resort situated on the shores of Kimbe Bay on the island of New Britain, Papua New Guinea. Celebrating over 30 years of operation, the resort is world famous for it's quality of diving, international award-winning photography and warm hospitality. The resort's guest book reads like a Who's Who in the world of Sport Diving and Underwater Photography and the resort has been voted to have "the best diving from a resort anywhere in the world" by reader surveys.
Walindi has two styles of accommodation. The plantation house rooms are the standard accommodation, but you can also upgrade to a bungalow. All packages are on a full board basis.
The central resort area is the social hub of Walindi and includes the tropical and airy reception and dining room (Casuarina Restaurant), lounge and bar area (Planters Bar), swimming pool, sundeck, Blue Taro Boutique and a comprehensive library with computers for guest internet connection. Wireless internet is available in the main resort area.
Good company, great food, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere provide a perfect backdrop while you enjoy the delights of Kimbe Bay diving. Buil time into your itnierary to explore the local area, join a birdwatching tour or just relax the day away.
Diving at Walindi Resort
Walindi Dive runs three purpose built day boats to take you on an amazing adventure to Kimbe Bay Reefs each day. "Cheyne" and "Charmaine" are our two larger purpose built day dive vessels, complemented by "Ema", a slightly smaller vessel.
We have a variety of different sorts of dive sites - underwater sea mounts where you are more likely to see bigger fish, unbelievable sheer walls, fabulous coral gardens, huge fans and funky critters. Our dive sites are suitable for all levels of diver and whatever the length of your stay we will try and give you a great selection - the one thing we can promise is that you won't be bored!

We strive to ensure the highest standard of diving services and training for our guests and staff whilst conserving the waters and reefs of Kimbe Bay in their natural, pristine state.

3Pay a deposit to secure it
Typically 30% of the holiday cost. You then receive your confirmation and ATOL certificate. The balance is usually due 90 days before travel.
