About Emperor Asmaa

Emperor Asmaa offers genuine value for money for divers looking to explore some of the best sites the southern Red Sea has to offer, operating from Marsa Alam or Hurghada. Asmaa was fully refitted in January 2015 to bring her up to the high standards that today's modern diver expects. smaa is an affordable Red Sea liveaboard that nonetheless delivers the high standards we have all come to expect from Emperor Divers.

Emperor Asmaa sleeps 20 divers across 10 comfortable, twin cabins. All are ensuite with air con and a safe. 2 towels per guest are provided for you. There are 4 upper deck cabins - please speak to your travel consultant, who can advise you of the upper deck supplement at the time of booking.

The saloon and dining area are communal spaces, decorated in light airy shades. There are TV, DVD and audio equipment at your disposal and as long as there is a telephone signal, also free wi-fi. There is a large covered sun deck with bar area upstairs and the fly deck is open for sun worshippers. As with all Emperor boats, nitrox is available - it is free of charge but is subject to availability on board. Rebreathers can be accommodated when prebooked (gas and kit hire charges will apply). The dive deck is well spaced, with plenty of room for everyone to kit up.

Just an email follow-up to my recent call regarding this fantastic recent dive trip. As I mentioned, not only did I do some bucketlist dives but the whole week, the dive group, the boat and crew and everything was simply great, making this one of the best value diving trips I've ever been on. The boat Emperor Aasma may not have a camera room or hot-tub but is in no way shabby. It is very comfortable with nice cabins and facilities and the dive deck and prep area was very good. What makes this boat special is the crew who are always ready to help with whatever was needed (no snorkel? No problem!) and the guides Khalil and Ahmed were both great and always good humoured. The food was mostly excellent, the breakfasts (my favourite) provided a great start to the day and lunch, dinner and snacks were also really good. Nobody had an upset stomach which was my biggest worry (my last trip we all had tummy problems). Oh! And we had Free NITROX all week!!
