Red Sea Liveaboard | Cyclone

Cyclone has long been a favourite with UK divers. She's the ideal choice for the price conscious diver, looking to "dive, eat, sleep" in the Northern Red Sea. Cyclone's experienced crew will give you a warm welcome, as well as taking you to the best dive sites. This is what makes her a popular choice with many of our divers.

Cyclone is 32m from bow to stern and her sturdy wood hull is a stable home away from home. 20 divers can be easily accommodated over 10 twin cabins. All of the cabins are en suite, have individual air con and plenty of space to stow your belongings for the week. There are 2 twin cabins on the main deck, 6 twin cabins below decks and 2 bow cabins which have bunks. Cabins are pre-allocated at the time of booking, so please remember to check if you have a specific request.

Cyclone features the tried and tested lay out of all Tornado Marine Fleet vessels. The dive deck is spaciously laid out so everyone can kit up without fighting for space. The dining room is on the main deck, and you will find tasty meals prepared freshly each day. The upstairs saloon is complete with bar and TV, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day or during surface intervals. Or escape from it all on sun deck. Cyclone is a classic Red Sea liveaboard that knows the Northern Red Sea's wrecks and reefs intimately. This is world class destination with a crew that know how to make your diving a success from start to finish.

Main deck twin cabin

Cyclone has two main deck twin cabins, located in the front half of the main deck. These cabins have lovely big rectangular windows facing the ocean. All cabins onboard Cyclone have twin beds, en suite, air con and safe. There is no surcharge for the main deck cabins.

Lower deck twin cabin

Cyclone has eight lower deck cabins, they share their layout with the main deck cabins but have a port whole window. All cabins onboard Cyclone have twin beds, en suite, air con and safe.

The guide Mousa and our Captain were also excellent and we had some of the best dive briefings we have had. I cannot thank Scuba Travel (Sam) and the rest of the team for helping and providing a great week. As the organizer it is always difficult to please all, however this trip did not fail to please with a constant boat full of happy divers chatting and sharing photos and stories. This is definitely the best wreck and reefs itinerary with the inclusion of Tiran. It’s a real winner.

Very good boat, I have pretty much done the fleet bar 1 now and can't rate the boats and staff enough from booking until final farewell. Guides were fab and a pleasure to dive with. Getting out the water the boat staff helped with every step. Thank you for a great trip and see you next year.

First liveaboard experience - better than I ever could have expected! Sensational crew provided warm and welcoming atmosphere. Special thanks to captain Mahmoud whose knowledge and expertise saw us as the only divers on the Thistlegorm for 5 dives! Our instructor Adel was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and we ended up doing Nitrox and AOW courses under his guidance. The only negative things I would say were the hired BCDs and regulators seemed a bit worse for wear. Luckily Adel was able to fix and exchange pieces to make it work. Also, the WiFi connection was not fantastic, and the tv used for briefings stopped working half way through the week. However, overall - fantastic experience!!

After nearly 10 liveaboards I was persuaded to do one in the winter, I really wasnt sure what to expect. As normal the booking process was nice and easy. When we arrived at Hurghada we were greeted by the very friendly Mohie as normal who got us to port. As we got to the boat and all guests arrived we were shock to find out there was only 5 of us on the boat! We all felt at home straight away. Adel was on top form as normal and the crew were incredible. We spent the whole week in glorious hot weather diving the amazing wrecks and reefs in perfect conditions and to top it off a nice Manta came to visit! Was lovely to dive all together and as a bonus we only saw one other group of divers on one dive on the whole trip!! The trip was filled with laughter from morning to night! The captain Mahmoud best in the red sea! I have to say this was the best trip i have done over the years.Thank you all for making our holiday the best and looking forward to the next one in May :-)

The crew were just as they were on every trip we’ve been on. They’re helpful and fun and really help make the week memorable. Chef is a legend. The food is top notch which is an amazing accomplishment in such a tiny kitchen. The boat was really well laid out for the trip and the rooms were very comfortable. Adel provides very professional briefs for each dive and really sets your mind at ease if you have any worries.

The food was Excellent, with no complaints. The fried fish was stunning.

I have dived Thistlegorm many times before. However, Reda’s briefing was excellent. Very informative. I love this dive site and especially as we were the only boat for our first morning dive. It was excellent.
