Fiji is in the South Pacific Ocean, east of Vanuata and west of Tonga. It is made up of some 322 islands, of which only a third or so are inhabited! The main arrival point for all travllers is Nadi, with the city of Suva being the other large focal point on the main island Viti Levu. Thanks to the road network around Viti Levu and the domestic flights linking the other islands, it is relatively easy to get around Fiji, visiting several points in a single trip. You can even travel by boat around islands that have no roads!
Covid Travel Information
View entry requirements here
Fiji define fully vaccinated travellers as those who have received the recommended number of initial doses (usually two) of a vaccine that Fiji recognises. Vaccine booster shots are considered as additional protection to full vaccination and are not mandatory.
Travellers with existing insurance must present evidence of the cover, not excluding COVID-19. All foreign passport holders (except valid permit holders who provide a supporting letter from a sponsor/employer to meet all COVID-19 related costs, including isolation if required) must have medical travel insurance, with international coverage that covers COVID-19 before travelling.
You must present proof that you have been fully vaccinated to enter Fiji. Travellers (aged 16 years and above) must produce a digital or a paper certification of full vaccination, at least 14 days before travel. Fiji will accept the UKís proof of COVID-19 vaccination record and proof of COVID-19 vaccination issued in the Crown Dependencies.
From 18th March, when you travel to England from abroad you:
do not need to take any COVID-19 tests before you travel or after you arrive
do not need to fill in a UK passenger locator form
do not need to quarantine when you arrive
This applies whether you are vaccinated or not.
It includes people who are transiting through England.

Weather and Climate
Fiji has a tropical climate, and as such, the weather really can change quickly! On the surface, the cool trade winds over our summer months make it a popular time of year to visit. However, this is typically when the water is coolest (23-26C). As such, many divers prefer Fiji over our winter months (when you have higher chances of rainfall), when the viz is better and there tends to be a bit more big fish life. Typical water temps Dec-Mar are 27-30C
There are several routes to Fiji, with a total flying time of around 20 hours. Air New Zealand, Quantas, Cathay Pacific and Singapore airlines are the most common flight options. Most routings will require the final leg of your journey to be completed on a Fiji Airways code share flight. You will generally by flying overnight in both directions.
